02/1/2021 08:29 | Apparently there are grossly exploitative employers with the temerity to pay people less than the legal minimum wage: Tesco was Britain’s worst minimum wage offender as the business department identified a raft companies that failed to pay staff in full. | johnwise

30/12/2020 10:04 | Grantley, there was a RNS earlier in the month. The Special Dividend and Pension Contribution will be up for approval on or around the 11th FEB 2021 at the GM. Payout of the Special Dividend will be on or around the 26th FEB. In other words, you have until the 11th FEB to be on the shareholder register. One thing to take into consideration if waiting as long as possible is the Christmas Trading update in January, if the update is as good as the city expects then there could be an upswing in the share price. | leas1

28/12/2020 21:17 | Tesco intends to return c. £5 billion of the net proceeds to shareholders via a special dividend, together with a share consolidation, and will also make a significant pension contribution of £2.5 billion to the Tesco PLC Pension Scheme shortly following completion. The special dividend is expected to be paid on or around 26 February 2021, conditional on obtaining shareholder approval at a general meeting which is expected to be held on or around 11 February 2021 (the "General Meeting"). | melody9999
28/12/2020 20:53 | There is talk about paying 3 billion off their pension deficit I've read somewhere. Also the is no mention of the amount of dividend in RNS by Tesco. I'd assume it's likly to be around 20p based on pension contribution taken in to account. Correct me if I'm wrong :)) should be a good day for these tomorrow IMO given Brexit :) | g2theary
