14/3/2017 06:34 | Why doesn't the management change the sign over the door to Sainsbury's and have done with it? Value product lines across the stores are discontinued, value cat litter for example which was sold in huge amounts no longer available in Tesco supermarkets. Enquiring why I received the answer "We have no idea, all we get is complaints about it" An upmarket priced Tesco's can get stuffed, Morrison's will get my family's business from now on. | jacko41

12/3/2017 15:16 | @Noirua, was that all ASDA or some ideas on prices from TESCO. Been shopping at Tesco quite a lot lately and not noticed any price rises. Yes, the prices do drop at sale times, but a lot of the tome I see Tinned Tomatoes 4 for £3 and on sale 50p a tin or 4 for £2, most of the time they are 85p each when it comes to the Napolina range. Baked beans I see a similar story. Don't forget though, it could also be to do with the Euro and Pound as well as the Dollar rates affecting prices across the board. Still, far cheaper than the shopping I was doing at Waitrose. I get good quality veg at Waitrose but Tesco will do for now. As for ASDA, I really don't bother unless I really have to as I find there Vegetables don't appear to last very long. But that could just be me. Not tried Aldi or Lidl yet. By the way, Sainsburys were doing that ages ago too. I noticed a lot of there prices were encroaching on Waitrose prices in some areas. Best way to check pricing i find is with a little app on my phone that will scan the markets and give you a broad spectrum. Trouble is, Lidl and Aldi are hardly ever in there as they don't carry most of what I'm after. | capeview
12/3/2017 15:06 | I notice that ASDA and Tesco have carefully pushed up prices on certain items by quite a bit. Having settled for less customers they are going for making more profit from their most loyal customers. ASDA upped their ASDA frozen food range from £1 to £1.25 and a number of other frozen food items. Even their small carrots fresh were upped from £1 to £1.25 whilst promoting the cut carrots at the same time. Most of the soups have seen special offers gone. Heinz soups just 50p in sale and 5 for £3.00 normally. Now at 85p each. Asda vitamin drink upped from £1 to £1.25. Salmon cheaper range seems to have gone as higher priced range remains. It's like that all over the store. Careful big rises whilst keeping others low to catch people out. | noirua
12/3/2017 14:54 | Porty, nothing to do with Women, it's to do with the youngsters that all want to be football stars, millionaire celebrities and at the top of the money pit without actually having to work for it. I've seen many men or boys in similar situations that haven't got a clue and only see the Pounds rolling in. A few years ago my Dad has some plumbing work done in his loft. The older guy knew what he was doing, the young apprentice boy could only see, 'Why should I bother with this, just take the money and say the job is done.' The older guy said, that isn't how you get repeat custom and before long you won't be getting anything. Obviously, my dad over heard all of this, but it shows youngsters aren't always willing to do a hard days work anymore. So don't blame the girl as she might have been an apprentice, and learning the ropes blame the guy who dumped her on you. He's the one to blame. | capeview
