12/1/2017 09:44 | this will finish blue today...figures were actually very good... | temmujin
12/1/2017 09:41 | Ignore the day-to-day oscillation in the sp,note the statement that TSCO will achieve "at least " 1.2 bill in operating profits this fin yr. At the present m cap that takes the p/e down to below 14, assuming effective management(which it is , and who cares about how well-written the CEO's statements are)progress should continue - never forget TSCO sell around 30% of ALL supermarket sales and therefore have vast purchasing power, this together with cost control should see them making their projected margin of 3% within a year or two.My guess is revenues of over £1.8 bill in FY 2019,EPS 18-20p, projected share price around 250p, divis in excess of 10p pa. That'll do for me as part of a well balanced portfolio. | casapinos
12/1/2017 09:31 | Agree Ladeside , good set of results indeed. Porty, there is hardly a director out there who doesn't milk the company they work for, the bigger picture is he or has he turned Tesco's around. I believe at present he is doing just fine & I guess if your not happy then sell up. | cocker

12/1/2017 09:09 | Figures are good. Lots of people appear to be missing the fact that a small % increase is actually HUGE due to Tesco's market share. It's all very well Aldi with the 15% headliner but the reality is that we are the ones making the REAL progress. Tesco can only be a buy. Most of the deadwood has been cut away, the UK business is right back on track and it's a monster. We also have the Bank making great progress and with interest rates due to rise soon that will be a major shot in the arm to the whole PLC. Keep the faith. | ladeside

12/1/2017 08:28 | The shares have had a good run for some time, so some profit taking always likely. However, over the next few months I am sure these will rise to at the very least 2.25. | cocker
