02/8/2019 19:03 | Think VXWORKS /Windriver need a bit of help? "Urgent11" security flaws impact routers, printers, SCADA, and many IoT devices Security updates are out, but patching will most likely take months, if not years. | doolittle
02/8/2019 16:40 | That's better guys; swamp the paid trolls with all positive posts; award enough coins to keep US at the top of the thread and remove their top dross! I don't know about you, but it makes me feel much better. Fight fire with FIRE! | philjeans
02/8/2019 16:39 | this one? 25.10.2018 125255 here's that valuation note, or bits of it (the toned down version from June 2018) and in no particular order... FWIW Take that client base at Comodo (= Sectigo) Assume, each business buys 3 new EV certificates per year Imagine that DA negotiates a revenue cut of 3% for making that PKI platform secure (3% of annual revenue) So DA gets: 199 ($ per year/certificate) x 700000 x 3 x 0.03 = $12.5m in annual revenue so mkt cap of DA on a profit/sales ratio of 4 (from 1 client Comodo in a full year) = $50m 42% for tern's (small) shareholders = a tern mkt cap of $21m (£15.24m). +++ Using that IoT revenue figure at Intel of $840m/quarter Say 2% of that per quarter for DA (for chip authentication, SDO onboarding (incl. retroactive), perhaps later in the cloud too, or their IoT healthcare platform) 2% x 840 x 4/year = $67.2m/year. Profit/sales ratio of 4 = $268.8m mkt cap for DA (based on 1 client Intel). say 47% of which (instead of 57%) for tern = mkt cap of $126.34m. (or £92.45m +++ Gemalto (IAM & IoT market) Gemalto is the global leader in digital security, with 2017 annual revenues of eur 3 billion and customers in over 180 countries. We bring trust to an increasingly connected world. [May 18 2018: results on the first quarter of 2018 Gemalto recorded revenue of eur 650 million.] Device Authority™'s KeyScaler technology is using Gemalto†// Say 1.5% of that revenue for DA. 1.5% x 3bn eur (= $3.59bn) / year = $0.0538bn/year. Profit/sales ratio of 4 = $0.2152bn mkt cap for DA (based on 1 client Gemalto). say 47% of which (instead of 57%) is for tern = mkt cap of $0.1011bn (or £74.69m) mkt cap at tern (after p/e calculation on expected full-year revenue) just add 5 of the sectors together.. Intel: £92.4m Comodo: £15.24m Gemalto: £74.69m Cloud sector: (Azure + AWS) = £180m IBM Cloud = £215.6m Thales (Healthcare): 0.47bn = £470m Total: £1047.93m so approx £5.82/share at tern (so excluding PTC, Kalypso, HPE, LTI, Thales-defence cloud, Cumulocity, TeamViewer, AMD (Ryzen), Azure IoT Edge, Foghorn, Wipro, HID, KaaS, Enterprise Blockchain, the Intel/Arm tech ecosystem (Oct 2018) via the Pelion platform, FVR, Wyld, InvMA, ......) So still¦.. #several pounds not pence | andrbea

02/8/2019 16:10 | And sits on the boards of several Amadeus portfolio companies. | kkrr11ss2
02/8/2019 16:06 | We're closer (after the Capital Days presentation by D. Antill) to Microsoft Azure (many believe) and closer to Intel (webinar 14.8), than ever before. And, via Intel SDO, DA -, one suspects - helps manage the whole ARM Pelion tech ecosystem of big-name customers. So add those 3 up, throw in Wipro, Tech Marindra, HID, NCipher and Fvr, inVMA and Wyld for good measure, in a booming GDPR-fine-fuelled, FIDO-regulated, 'compliance is key' IoT market, and one can sense that the train has to leave the station. | andrbea
