Long term holding

lets say you bought a property for an investment, say £750,000, and you were patiently and confidently waiting for property prices to rise,

Would you....

a)Clock onto the value of your property hourly, and post on a freebb trying to ramp up the price, even up to 17 hours a day, also trying to bully or censor anyone who disagreed with you?

b), If it rose in value then fell back in value by say 80%, dump it quickly

c) Try to increase its low value with a " TOP UP" by extending it, taking advise from an unemployable plumber bloke from Slough.

D) Carry on with your life normally?

The share price for tern

5 Jan 2021 13:52

is being manipulated to stay within a certain range imo. My tech buddy reckons that buy the end of March 2021 this will be in the range of 30p - 80p. Would not elaborate further but says the progress in Tern's investment iot companies must be high multiples of what they where compared to the 2019 audited figures released and which current Nav is based .
Therefore he says we are due a very large re rate. He says Al Sisto is in his 70's so he will be looking to capitalize on Tern's wealth creation and enjoy his retirement. He reckons Tern shareholders may well see the "for sale " sign put up sometime this year.
I guess it depend on what and how the "Third Party" interest evolves in this quarter. GLA.

Yep, could well be white label KS
with Multos, itself, saying it's 100% MULTOS technology

remember, from the notes above: The other firm (Multos) presenting is relying (IMO) on the Keyscaler Platform to get the device updates done securely

I think Multos will be important..

an external party showcasing DA..

Multos launched "Trust Core". The following link shows the basic kit (with Raspberry Pi) can be purchased for euro 44.26 ex VAT.

DA should be promoting KeyScaler SaaS to the website distributor Distrelec as an optional extra underneath this offering. They are complementary.

The webinar was similar to the EPS Global one. The other firm (Multos) presenting is relying (IMO) on the Keyscaler Platform to get the device updates done securely.

My notes:

Multos has been trading for about 20 years. It has 3500+ businesses, with 1 bn devices in its charge, spread over 50 countries. Multos for security policing and flexibility.

Chris (Multos): Trust Core kit (new product). A plug and play board. It can work with AWS IoT (via PCKS#11). It is for non-programming customers, an off-the-peg version. A hardware security module, with encryption. It has tools for managing both public and private keys.
Ready-made functionality. TLS/DtLS 1.2 support. The session key never leaves the Multos chip.
RSA key pairs can authenticate with AWS IoT services. Able to integrate with other IoT platforms.

Rao (DA) speaking:
Keyscaler (KS) can facilitate secure device updates. Interfaces with CumuloCity/HID-Identrust/Thales/MS Azure/nCipher/DigiCert/AWS/Thingworx
Iniside the KS platform, the DA engine. Customers can use APIs to interface with KS's function blocks, eg policy management.
KS is highly scalable. Device-bound identity/authentication.

Code signing and device updates.

KS is the first Device identity-centric IAM to address the unique IoT security challenges. DA: our main partners at Microsoft Azure ....

Part 2:
(KeyScaler continued)

certificate provisioning - any CA, any HSM, any platform

'CA signing service connector'
'IoT platform service connector'

Device-bound, policy-driven key provisioning and rotation.

Delegated security management for IoT platforms. (Token authentication)

Authorize request for token / Authenticate device and request token / Device Agent /Authenticate and connect / Validate token (Thingworx and/or Azure) /

The device is secured and updated in time.

the customer can outsource security management to KS.

then send encrypted data from IoT devices to the chosen IoT application platform (eg Thingworx)

Policy-driven crypto key provisioning & management.
Authenticate Thingworx

Secure-by-design approach for chip to cloud security for IoT (DA and the Multos secure chip platform)

Automate secure registration /onboarding of devices without human intervention

Automate security into IoT platforms with connectors

Quarantine devices when necessary

revoking their credentials

Multos can generate the API calls/messages and handles the replies.

Q&A

31bn devices connected so far (in 2020)

That figure includes smartphones.

KS can interact with various kinds of endpoints (software and/or hardware)

Multos: Trust Core can be ordered already.

As to the quality of Multos products:

Most of our competitors are in tiers 4 to 6.
A Multos product was the first to be approved to the TOP tier 7 level.

So Multos chipset has been independently verified as the most secure chipset out there. I imagine they are utilised in the most critical end uses ie Medical, Automotive and Industrial.

So the message is quite clear that there isn't much point in paying for an expensive and secure chipset unless you are going to manage the lifecycle of that device. Step up Keyscaler.

So we've had webinars with chipset manufacturers, device manufacturers, certificate authorities, HSM manufacturers, IoT platforms, Systems Integrators etc. Keyscaler is a hugely important component in the IoT ecosystem.

This has to be a target for a major security provider such as Thales, Identrust or Entrust. Quite possible that Microsoft would see it as giving them competitive advantage over AWS but I think it is possibly more likely that one of the large systems integrators would compete with a security provider. Regardless Tern have a very valuable asset in their portfolio.
