Yes, get your device onboarded eg with Intel SDO or MS Azure Sphere...

And then how does the client solve the problem of which device has a certificate that's due to expire soon, or needs to be revoked or decommissioned?
In a fleet of hundreds, thousands or billions of devices ....
Basic Azure or Intel won't do that .....

August 2019
Richard (Intel): So, after that first minute (of SDO onboarding), then the rest of your security lifetime is managed by your chosen platform - the Device Authority platform - that you (the end-customer) would use for, maybe, the next 10 years ....

johnb, I keep doing calcs but they keep breaking the calculator..

if Sphere uses KS for additional security then I think everything will, or else risk on MS is increased?

are developments with Ericsson still to be revealed ? they have large iot device fleets already in the field, will KS be providing retrospective security upgrades to them ?

No I didn’t - I was at starbucks collecting a big order at the time.

Everyone loves an optimist but every now and then a dose of realism is helpful.

This stock is utter pants and to dream otherwise is very, very silly.

johnb, good question, but with the lifetime of devices being 8-12 years etc you can quickly get to some very big numbers as one years sales will provide 8-10 years future revenues increasing at a rate of XX% per annum as devices in the field explodes ?

should be £bn's imho

Indeed SW

To quote D. Antill (21.7.20):

“We are excited about our new partnership with EPS Global. Collaboration as early as possible in the IoT device lifecycle yields stronger security and further supports the Secure by Design approach. EPS Global align well with our Enterprise IoT security blueprint, which leverages a secure MCU in step 1. We look forward to providing a joint solution to customers who are being accountable and prioritizing IoT security”, said Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority.

When you realise you have created a “secret sauce” which promises to resolve a growing problem and so could well have mass market potential, life’s bound to get a bit exciting.

Darron Antill certainly believes that’s what he has, in the form of a patented, automated plug-and- play platform that addresses the growing security challenges of identity and access management for devices.

how many webinars have you seen Azure Sphere do in 2020 with other providers of device certificates?
that's right...none.

DA are the IoT leader, at IoT scale.

To spell it out:

If DA gets preferred solution status for large-scale IoT deployments/provisioning/authentication at Azure Sphere (roll on the next webinar - Oct 21) ... then the AT&TT tie-up would make that available to customers in over 200 countries, as a giant network. Full of lifetime managed device certificates.....

The big news this past week
still getting ignored...

What’s in it for Customers?

The AT&T Global SIM allows customers to utilize the same AT&T subscription across more than 200 countries and territories without the need to re-credential. The global cellular network of AT&T makes it possible for customers’ data to travel via cellular with fast activation out of the box.

By adding cellular support to Azure Sphere, AT&T and Microsoft have enabled customers to quickly and securely connect their IoT devices to the cloud.
