16/1/2007 14:25 | I bought some more today on the weakness, so come the results, or just after, I hope there's 50 % gain to have. Good luck to other holders. | kickassbaby
12/1/2007 22:02 | Hi Kickassbaby, I'm still in, waiting patiently for the up-trend. | cher price
11/1/2007 15:21 | Yes exactly kickass. I think the matter of development costs being written off in H1 may have masked the continuing strength of TAL's performance, for which those who have recently sold, will rue their decision. Still, it seems buyers are coming back now. | hubs
11/1/2007 12:19 | Yeah KAB .... me. :-) Thinking about this one too. | callieanne
11/1/2007 11:05 | Not that anybody reads this thread, but I've bought in at 51.4 . The price seems too attractive now after the weakness it has shown. Whenever I buy a stock I want it to have 50% upside within a year, and this fits the bill. Here's why. My main basis is - there should be solid earnings. My est 4.09 eps for a forward PE of 12.5. This will be current PE in 2 1/2 months. This is also a lower to mid estimate of broker's forecast eps, Panmure Gordon 5.21 CS 4.96 Collins Stewart 3.04 Also, during the results for 31 Mar 07, TAL should provide some earnings visibility for public tv for 2007 / 2008. However, without public tv they are still solidly earning. I also expect a rise in share price when public tv launches in Feb due to extra PR. Also, development costs of public tv have already been written off in H1. Anybody else out there watching this thread? | kickassbaby
08/1/2007 12:33 | I'm surprised there's not more interest in TAL, considering they look to be launching www.public.tv in Feb. However, after looking at it in Beta at the moment I wasn't overly impressed, but I'm sure it can and will be better for the launch. I expected to see whole sections with training courses for different job roles, such as primary schoolteaching etc and customer service courses for hotel staff etc, but most of the videos were split into very broad categories and it didn't offer much more than what you see on normal TV at the moment. If they get this right I think there is a market for good training content which can help people's careers. I think they may be a bit broad in who they are trying to reach and as a result have alot of boring content. Boring is OK if it helps people train, but apart from that it can be quite boring. Also, it's has been dropping quite a lot so seems like a decent value buying op esp if public tv starts to take shape. Might get in next week. | kickassbaby
03/1/2007 09:18 | Could this be the start of a surge upwards? | cher price
15/12/2006 22:55 | More sells than buys today and the price ticked up. Cash of over £13 million, in profit, turnover way ahead of market capitilisation, 'buy' recommendations in recent press: time to top up! | hubs
14/12/2006 17:12 | Woe, woe and thrice woe! Support at 52p about to be tested. Anyone know why such a big drop? | cher price
13/12/2006 17:45 | major upwards price movement is what I meant. Lets hope its just delayed... | hubs
10/12/2006 21:18 | are you suggesting there will be a further drop or a rise in a few days? | haroldthegreat
10/12/2006 20:50 | The major price movements with this share over the last couple of years always seem to come shortly after announcement of results. Usually a few days afterwards. I still think this is to come in the next few days. This is a good, safe share over the long term. Experienced and trustworthy management team, products aimed at niche markets, and a promise to fund acquisitions from cash reserves, not share dilutions. Top up, and be patient... | hubs

07/12/2006 12:52 | LONDON, December 7 - Analyst Alan Howard of Canaccord Adams upgrades Ten Alps Communications Plc (TAL.ISE) from "hold" to "buy." The target price has been raised from 60p to 70p. | cher price
06/12/2006 16:34 | It seems like Ten Alps are not alone... Channel 4 hit the news today, by announcing downloadable TV programmes and films from its website, and BT launched its internet TV service on Monday. Times are definitely changing and the internet is challenging tradition TV formats. Ten Alps have the energy and vision to surge ahead IMHO. | cher price
05/12/2006 15:59 | nig295 - You're probably right. It's not like the market to hold back and let me top up first ;-) Maybe I've missed something, but with these results and the launch of Public TV, it looks to me like a two bagger at least, by end of Feb 07. | cher price
05/12/2006 15:36 | Cher Price Sounds like a "meastro" comment. If the increase in clients was going to set them off they would have gone at 9:20 this morning. Having said that I hope they do go up slowly. | nig295
05/12/2006 13:00 | * 300-fold increase in number of clients to 47,000 These are going to ROCKET!!! (IMHO, DYOR) | cher price

28/11/2006 16:14 | I guess the market's worried about the cost of restructuring, relocation and change of business model. Seems like a good opportunity to top up. | cher price
27/11/2006 19:30 | Interestingly, they were saying on TV this morning that internet based TV is the future. They used viral downloads as an example of how popular the new genre is becoming. You Tube was snapped up by Google for $1.65bn. If Ten Alps gets into this market, who knows what it could be worth? | cher price
