24/1/2011 11:43 | I see Peter Bertram has just been appointed Chairman. He also holds the same position with Timeweave (TMW), where I hold shares. Have a look at that. If you want a quick resume let me know, but all I can say is, if he is as ineffective here as with TMW, you will have a long, long wait for any action. Not stirring it, just trying to help. | littlemadam

23/1/2011 08:53 | they haven't changed their holding - the number of shares in the company has gone up hence their % holding has gone down - its called dilution! | moreforus
22/1/2011 18:02 | What is Capital Research and Management up to? Last week's confusing RNS announcemnent implies that they have reduced their stake below 5 % threshold. But read the statement and their 4.5% stake is the same before and after the 'transaction' which triggered the announcement. Never knew that Capital ever had a TAL stake in the first place. Perhaps they have come in as part of the latest share placing. If so, it should be good news for TAL. Capital is a big and smart US fund manager. Why would it be messing around in a clapped out minnow like TAL, with a market cap of less than £10m, unless it thought there was some serious upside. Like everyone else I am not enamoured by TAL's performance and its grossly overpaid top management. But could the analysts at Capital have spotted some hidden potential in TAL's discredited business model which the market has missed? | bottomfisher
21/1/2011 23:58 | i wonder why directors have never bought shares in their own company now thats a gud question . but they all own millions of shares. As Bob Geldorf would say 'Give me the furking money' i think many people have been caught out here! They were due to give themselves another share pay out, until they were rescued from bankruptcy very greedy | patricia59
21/1/2011 16:11 | I wouldn't touch these at 0.005p let alone 5.5p | tez123
21/1/2011 15:16 | Its basically an outdated badly-managed bedraggle of fading media outfits/liabilities No cost control for starters, accounts show in 4 years they've smoked -£90 million on admin expenses. Splashed the cash on tinpot companies with low rates of return then did nothing with them, acquisitions for the sake of acquisitions. Hanson plc it aint With debt worth double the market cap Ten Alps will eventually be stripped for parts by its creditors, imho | bookiebuster
21/1/2011 13:56 | Hi guys I was in this at around 50p when I sold out. I have paid much attention to it for years but I was shocked to see the share price today in the latest falls section. Anyone please tell me why the share price has fallen so low. Cheers Dan. | danielmiller1

20/1/2011 15:28 | I work in construction media and have done so for over 10 years. Ten Alps used to be a direct competitor and if they are still around in 18 months i will be extremely surprised. | tez123
17/1/2011 13:10 | Friday's RNS was a reiteration of the resolutions announced last month, a near-doubling of shares in issue and another loan to fund the broken business model Net tangible assets as of Sept 2010 were -£3.6m, and will have only got worse Debt exceeds the market cap. £11m of liabilities secured against all the assets Loss-making margins in a shrinking sector can only mean one thing... Strong Sell | bookiebuster
