The current share price reflets the fact the new energy cap has reduced TPs advantage
against the competiton.

How do you think that will affect TEP?

Yes we've done pretty well over the last few months but there seems to be a bit of profit taking today

Such is investing. I've held these for many years but recently decided to go in large at £12 for the divi and the shareholder discount. Only to see the price drop to £10. Sitting pretty now.

To get the 10% discount you need 1500 shares. Then just Google telecom plus shareholder discount and follow the link on their page to apply. If you're a nominee shareholder you just need to request a confirmation of shareholding from your investment manager.

Number of customers up 10.8% to c. 729,000 (an annualised rate of over 20% during H2), equal to the previous five years of growth combined

-- Notable improvement in customer retention levels, as customers benefit from higher savings on their UW services

-- Return to rational pricing environment following permanent energy retail market reset
Current trading and outlook:

-- Continuing strong new customer volumes in line with guidance of 20% net growth for FY23
-- Subject to unforeseen circumstances, adjusted PBT for FY23 expected to be around GBP75m, above consensus expectations, enabling an increase in our dividend to not less than 65p for the full year

-- Our new medium-term goal is to sign-up at least 1,000,000 additional customers over the next four to five years

I'm a long term holder here and it's now my biggest shareholding so I'm pleased with recent strong performance. Get 10% off fuel bills too!

Garnering a lot of new customers. Why? If you want cheaper energy than the big six, TEP are the last man standing.

Plus they have Eon energy at their back as their supplier of gas and electricity so no stress getting energy at the right price.

The company is going through a major growth phase.

Don't think Tep would be liable for windfall. More likely their supplier - NPower ?

An incoming windfall tax would knock the share price short term, but longer term TEP is great hold to weather the energy storm

POI

I know it is quite a chunk of change but if you have 1500 TEP shares you get 10% off your utility warehouse bill. Which is handy

How's the £150 and £200 bill saving going to work when you have more than one yep service and only one bill nice saving for all bills on low energy use house?!

Patience. Everyone wants to be a millionaire by Tuesday next. Nothing moves in a straight line. Plus it has had a blistering last 4 months.

The scientific and rigorously well-researched principle of "it has gone up a lot lately so now it has come down a bit" applies here.

The company is the same and will do well ..

Strange price hasn't risen since the big increase in the gas price cap- I would have thought the higher the cap, the more opportunities for UW to win customers and make a decent margin? No?

I'm being well rewarded from my investment in TEP and see no reason not to hold for more capital gain and dividends
