This can't be good?! I've never had a situation where a company has touted itself and for sale...they are usually approached. Whats going to happen here...? Are they hoping to stimulate a bidding frenzy? Unfortunately I can only see the share price going one way today...

buywell3 - 07 Mar '22 - 23:10 - 1399 of 1421 Edit

buywell has never thought that after looking at the profits made to date and the scale of the problems

Bet those that took place in the cash raise at 45p as buywell predicted are now a bit miffed --- 40p would have still been a bit rich imo

buywell3 - 04 May 2021 - 21:43:34 - 951 of 1399 ::: TEKMAR GROUP PLC ::: - TGP

What has been proved thus far is that trying to protect sea floor cables around the coasts of Britain is a very difficult and complex process

A process which has not yet been perfected

But one which done properly so as to eliminate scour and the undersea rips that take place at certain depths and subsea geographical formations will be very much more expensive than has thus far been charged IMO

Turnover going up at the expense of increased profits in any company is imo high risk and to be done only short term eg to put a competitor out of business

buywell thinks prices for guaranteed engineered protection need to rise significantly or else major shareholders will start to get nervous imo

The contracts are there for the taking for TGP, just need the management to prove it filters nicely down to the bottom line. This potentially be a massive multi bagger from these levels. Because I can only see more and more contracts coming TGP way and countries scale up there renewable operations...

I got suckered in after the higher low in early 2021. I decided to support the company as the management seemed to be dull engineer types who didn't give a toss about the share price and were dropped in a dire situation nobody could of ever of predicted. If they have steered a course through the difficulties there is a reasonable chance of success in the future. It could rerate real quick if they start to turn a profit. The extra liquidity from the placing may help sustain a trend.

Let's hope so...maybe the worm has turned. I need a decent rise too to b/e. I'm down 28% overall so not a disaster but wish I'd bought now as opposed to when I did in December last year.

Is TGP coming back to life? Hope so, I only need an 80% rise to break even. LOL

Indiestu what the hell you on about, Tgp have been awarded two massive contracts recently. They are winning loads of contracts, what we need to see if these contracts result into profitable bottom line growth...

I thought this had a good chance but I'm not so sure anymore. Now all the big O&G companies are in in the action they have the technology to do what Tekmar do so why would they go outside? I think the best chance here is a takeover but I'm not sure anyone needs to buy. Surely if it were going to happen for TGP it would of by now. Hope I'm wrong. Just sharing thoughts for the discussion.

This is one of those shares that could be over £3 in a few years time. Loads of global potential contracts should be coming TGP as countries increase their wind farms numbers. Hopefully the company can do the maths properly and make a decent margin...

Big wind farms over there and a large pipeline being accelerated. Let's hope we can capitalise. Did you see the announcement last week about the investment in offshore wind by Germany, Belgium and Netherlands? Very large numbers. Come on Tekmar!

Good to see them cracking the US market as well, could be a substantial lift in revenue growth over the coming year or so.

Looks like TGP have won a fairly substantial contract for them to RNS it. Normally they stick contracts on their website.

No figures to stop competors knowing the numbers I presume..
