Agreed but this is not a broken business and shareholders need to keep the board focussed on delivering the shareholder value....!

Well I got this one very wrong. Another painful share experience. Should be doing so much better but you can only blame the management. I'm unsure what value there is here? A reasonable order book, compelling market dynamics but an inability to turn a profit. There has to be some value in the IP, factory and overall company structure. What would a company looking to buy Tekmar value it at? The senior leadership team have effectively said we can't make this work...perhaps someone else can. It's therefore a major risk. Only thing I can think if is that a competitor takes them out for their order book and existing client base and service work. What should be a UK success story in a vital growth sector has turned into a flop.

It's does indicate a total failure of the finance function to undertake a placing and then, despite that, under 4 months later announce you don't have sufficient funds to execute your business plan.

I bet schroders must be fuming, especially in taking part in the recent placement at 45p.

At least the directors will be hit hard in their pockets as well...

I have to say that I was not all that surprised by this announcement which is another way of saying that I should have acted and sold given my uneasiness that they did not have the financial resources to protect them that they were in a position where circumstances were such that they did not have sufficient control of their supply lines or indeed their customers ordering patterns. Just as well I did not participate in the open offer.
I wonder what the reaction will be from the instis especially 20% holder Schroders who it seems was a big participant in the open offer.
This must be attractive to a buyer who is $ based given current exchange rates. Ratner than a VC company I would have thought that a company with financial strength and manufacturing expertise would be a more natural buyer.
As said the current price is very attractive and also as said a gamble.
Like you Pine martin9, cannot remember a situation where a company has put itself up for sale.

Agree, as management highlight, short term tough but long term clearly a huge growth area...

I'd imagine, they should be alot of interested parties, so hopefully we will get a good bid. I wouldn't be surprised to see a American VC company take them over.... tempted to add, because I think you could double your money at this share price level...

They have enough cash, to honour those contracts pinemartin. So that shouldn't be a issue.

MY concern would be the impact on contracts in the bag....can they be cancelled if they see risk here?

Lots of big potential work, unfortunately TGP are to small to handle it..

Classic case of the management running before they can walk....

These could be taken out for less than 50p, classic case of good idea, but run by poor Management..

Its alright getting all these contracts, but its no good if your making aloss on them
