19/12/2018 15:19 | Why stop at naming JC! | wfl1970
19/12/2018 14:32 | You are right gbh, you could never use the term honorable for JC, | omg48
19/12/2018 14:12 | Stupid is more appropriate than the word Honorable, which they all throw about without any understanding of its meaning. | gbh2
19/12/2018 14:08 | Just seen on BBC news, a lip reader confirmed he said stupid woman. He has denied it, what a moron. | omg48
19/12/2018 13:58 | Looking at the "Deal" she's signed us up to, I think Corbyn maybe right --- For once. | gbh2
19/12/2018 13:22 | They ought to offload a few building plots and use the cash raised to help fund the buy back. | tlobs2
19/12/2018 13:16 | It is believed that a up to 10% buyback scheme is due, that is what is thought with the cash and present share price to divi ratio. We will only know when the meeting takes place. | blueteam
19/12/2018 11:10 | Maybe they should stop building any houses as well given that Brexit will result in mass net emigration as Immigration dries up,and Remaoners choose to relocate to EU??? | wbecki
19/12/2018 10:44 | We'll see.I simply think it might be prudent to hold fire given current uncertainties with clarity still looking a long way off. | steeplejack
19/12/2018 10:36 | Steeplejack, why would they opt to rush this through unless they thought it was important? "convening a General Meeting at 9:00 am on 28 December 2018, to consider a general authority to make market purchases of the Company's ordinary shares (the "Resolution"), has today been sent to shareholders." | tlobs2
19/12/2018 10:13 | I can't see why TW (or Bellway for that matter)would embark upon a share buy back programme when it might be well advised to hoard cash until the consequences of a no deal Brexit becomes clearer. Its now fairly clear that we will leave without a deal. All the other alternatives;another referendum,Norway,Ca | steeplejack
19/12/2018 09:48 | gbh2,Good question, I do enjoy work & despite the amount of paper work I still find time to go out to sites delivering & working on the shop floor, WFL I don't have to wait for Tw to get to £2.64 to retire, Now a days investing is just a bit of fun. | jugears
19/12/2018 09:46 | £1.70 target price i see. on the way. With the share buyback coming, could well hit this target in Jan next year. | blueteam
19/12/2018 09:14 | Respectfully though, there is a third choice - Are you working until you see your £2.64 target? | wfl1970
19/12/2018 08:17 | G'morning Jugears, 20 odd years ago (when I was visiting in different factories all around the World)Someone asked me if I worked to live or lived to work. Now in my 70s and experiencing the wonder of my grandchildren growing up I realize what I missed when my Kids were at the same age and why the guy posed the question all those years ago. 18 hrs a day / seven days a week, I respectfully suggest that you ask yourself, are You, Working to Live or Living to Work? Wish you a good day whatever your choice :)) | gbh2
19/12/2018 07:44 | Gbh2 - i think something else (or more appropriately someone else) happened in late 70s that changed everything for the worse. | m4rtinu
18/12/2018 21:03 | "struggling to find someone capable of running the company to the high standards I expect. But as I have got older I am finding it harder to work 18 hour days 7 days a week & then have to drive the 40 minutes home each night" So Jugs, hire a chauffeur! That'll give you an hour and a half each day, 7 days a week to perhaps continue with your admin responsibilities...a | wfl1970
18/12/2018 20:29 | gbh2 I agree but think long term we are better without a deal as I don't believe that it will be as bad as some people think.Speaking for my self I have never been as busy as we are now, I had hoped to go in to semi retirement but struggling to find someone capable of running the company to the high standards I expect. But as I have got older I am finding it harder to work 18 hour days 7 days a week & then have to drive the 40 minutes home each night but at the moment demand is out stretching our supply ability, So much for all the doom & gloom ! | jugears
18/12/2018 18:40 | Jugears, I want out from under the Boot of what's become a self Propagating monolith of an organization that's done little to nothing but take from the UK Tax Payer to fund its own interests and propaganda. The vast majority of the UK workforce have seen their pay deteriorate along with the quality of the jobs now on offer throughout the UK, basically the EU along with our useless governments have turned this country into a low pay economy in which the majority have to get by on jobs that offer little to no future, be they Prospects or Earnings. For what it's worth my experience was gained in International Companies where (in the early days) those in the Boardroom used to Care about the Quality of what they were producing and the Welfare of the Staff they employed to produce their products, that changed in the late 70s, around the time being in the EU really took hold. | gbh2
18/12/2018 17:24 | @GBH2 Indeed. Signed. Why they are insisting on HS2 completion beggars belief as well What a colossal white elephant. | wbecki
18/12/2018 16:49 | Thx good but sobering read. I cannot stand the pair of them | tony2119 |
