31/8/2016 18:42 | Brexit side.... Why 'Brexit lite' is a terrible idea which will shackle us to a ticking time bomb MARK BROLIN We should seize the benefits of Brexit sooner rather than later PETER LILLEY | ![]() fangorn2
31/8/2016 18:29 | BKG is exactly the company you should be buying - cheapest in the sector, and risk completely over stated. If you want to be in the sector you should have London and SE exposure | raffles the gentleman thug
31/8/2016 18:11 | Not sure if this has been posted.... The shares of some UK housebuilders are attractive long-term investments, according to Tristan Chapple, director of the high-performing Aurora Investment Trust. Dated 26th August. The two largest holdings in the fund are Barratt Homes and Bellway. He commented, ‘We are only interested in national house builders. Berkeley Homes is a great company, but it is exposed only to certain parts of the country.’ He added, ‘the barrier to entry for the house builders is scale. The planning system is a lot slower now, and then there is the question of cost of capital. It is much harder for new players to get capital.’ The investor continued that the return on capital of the house builders as a sector has risen from 15 per cent to 30 per cent in recent years. | ![]() fangorn2

31/8/2016 14:52 | Sorry arja gotta filter you out now mate. I am sure somewhere inside you there is much that you could be contributing to this thread by way of knowledge and opinion on Taylor Wimpey, but for some reason it ain't pouring forth and you seem insistent on an ever escalating dispute with others on completely irrelevant matters. Good luck, and no doubt you will find an appreciative audience somewhere out there, but not me | raffles the gentleman thug
31/8/2016 14:44 | grannyboy - raffles asked us to stop and focus on TW . I agreed but it seems you and that ignoramus omg48 can not do so ! Pro EU bile - what nonsense and I could tie you up in knots intellectually . see you on UKIP thread when I have time . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 14:25 | He would probably enjoy that :) | ![]() omg48
31/8/2016 11:39 | well Brexit is a relatively pointless debate now, as its just down to elected lawmakers to decide what this means and how it should be implemented, and whether there is a referendum or whatever. Whats clear is that everyone who voted was passionate about their beliefs and we have to move on as a nation and unit and not seek to continue to divide. Suggestions that one or other of the two groups of voters are imbecilic is obviously unhelpful and gets us nowhere. Now on TW, if any of you are keen chart watchers, the shares are pinging off a decent support line with next resistance at 174p, which looks like its coming relatively shortly. BKG trading update Monday could even be the next catalyst for upside. Also 50 day moving average pops sharply higher in four days, once 23rd June pre-referendum high falls out of the equation. | raffles the gentleman thug
31/8/2016 11:16 | Totally agree MaharARJA should be erased by everyone on this thread. Troublemaker from Sunderland, who by the way set the ball rolling for BREXIT. How about that ARJA | ![]() omg48
31/8/2016 10:14 | fair enough raffles . But you can see what I am up against by optomistic's comment above and I was just replying to your comments . Most on this thread are brexit supporters and seem very bitter even tbough they MAY get what they want in the end! ( smile ) . TW still holding just above 162 I see . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 10:01 | I know arja ... just feel everyone would do well to learn to be kinder to one another, and have a thread which works to our mutual benefit of exchanging ideas on TW and the sector. The whole Brexit thing has obviously divided society but I don't feel there is much to be gained form being backward looking here | raffles the gentleman thug
31/8/2016 09:57 | ...bye arja, that's enough of your posts for me. | ![]() optomistic
31/8/2016 09:52 | raffles - you might be right but hard not to respond to infantile comments such as leaving a space before a full stop ! But I will try not to and will focus on TW which is making a tentative recovery . But we really need the dow futures to recover and the mood in market to improve . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 09:41 | tolbs2- you can join me at the english classes and it might help with your grammatical errors . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 09:38 | tolbs2 - get a life if things like that annoy you . thought you said this was a TW thread and TW moving slowly higher . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 09:24 | arja, when you get to your first class next week the teacher will ask why you always leave an annoying space prior to a comma or full stop ;-) | ![]() tlobs2
31/8/2016 09:15 | fanghorn - you mention me using hero by mistake . But what does " pelnt" mean ?? ! can not find word in the dictionery !! ( wry smile ) . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 09:10 | tlobs2 - so much for discussing TW . you hyporite , sad that we MIGHT leave the EU as a result of xenophobic folk such as you . grannyboy- the young people voted to remain but I agree that not enough of them voted and it is their future and not the future of selfish old sods like tiobs2 . | ![]() arja
31/8/2016 08:58 | Worry not lads and lasses the kids go back to school shortly............. | ![]() tlobs2 |
