Should be able to make some money by buying INL today

As TOMORROW there should be a RNS from Inland PLC saying that a planning consent for almost 800 homes, a medical center, a care home and shops has been approved.

The market is not aware of this approval yet, so you should be able to make some money by buying today and selling tomorrow.

If you look at the link below you can see that it already has approval by the planning officers, but there is a meeting tonight to sign it off

I always get worried when brokers start upgrading stocks I hold, the last time we had a speight of upgrades was around end of 2009 which lead to TW. dropping to low 30's oh we are already around that level so perhaps we will get the 28p some have been harping on about.

Be lucky

From Bloomberg Businessweek 24 May 2010

Barratt Developments increased 2.7 percent to 110.2 pence after JPMorgan upgraded the homebuilder to "overweight" from "underweight." Rival Taylor Wimpey Plc climbed 3.4 percent to 33.86 pence as the brokerage reiterated its "overweight" recommendation. Analysts cited "deep value" for both companies which are "strongly geared" to a housing recovery.

during the past months, usually when a broker upgrades a stock, the stock does the opposite. This time - i hope not.

Now JP Morgan are on-board they will track the stock and hopefully upgrade at some point but 58p will do for the time being ;-0

why 28p ?

F27 - 24 May'10 - 15:22 - 1352 of 1352

I feel tw. may have to test 28p, as the mkt will make new lows in due course when the Euro sovereign debt fiasco blows up,..headless chickens springs to mind regards Euro governments/ECB.

Not if they've got control of the SETS system and keep throwing 2000 and 4000 AT trades onto it to stop it gathering any momentum.

Mmmmm.. overweight eh?

Going to be hard for the bears to keep charging it down in the face of broker upgrades/director buying.

Shroder , Agreed its one thing to play with a few pounds but i was in pretty heaverly so its a breath of fresh-air to be out . A large part is now in Dollars so it feeds my gambling desires for now .

mknight, I agree with your comments also, in this market anything could happen.

With a stock such as TW where you never really know the fundamentals I tend to keep position sizes reasonably low, enough for them to count but not enough to lose sleep over.

" Kevin Beeston will join the Company as Chairman with effect 1st July 2010."
Was he not formerly with Serco?
Perhaps we will see a change in direction for Wimpey, towards being a "services" company.

Thanks 2Pearly and Shroder , you are both right and it could happen . I have decided that i will not buy in LLOYDS and TW. ( the only 2 stocks i am interested in )until LLOYDS is 48p and Tw. 28P ..

The market seems really difficult to make money in just now so i will sit and wait with the great possibility that i may never get to buy at those stupid low prices .

I find it hard not to look tho which is pretty stupid of me i guess .

The danger is that it doesn't and just keep on going to 58p, the risk being you miss the meat of the move.

mknight - 24 May'10 - 12:04 - 1341 of 1342

2Pearly , why dont you sell and buy back cheaper , it seems like its going to 28-30p

Nonsense spenny?

Same old, same old here at TW.

Tries every day to move up then either the FTSE wobbles [or it doesn't] and TW's confidence disappears and it walks back down again.

So that isn't what happens each day then?
Calling it nonsense doesn't mean it ain't so.

mk
Therein lies the risk with every stock.I prefer to sit in and wait.
