hopefully that 100k at 19.75 is the start of the base of the pizza!

Went to one of their joints last night.

Very sloppy and slow service despite being very quiet.

Ordered olives with our drinks they never arrived.

I had a pizza and they used to serve them on plates but now they are on some artificial plasticy type of platter which shows the score marks left by the knives of previous diners. If you had these at home you would chuck them out.

The wife ordered a dessert that included icecream. After a longish wait we noticed our waiter rush out of the front door returning ten minutes later with four tubs of icecream from Tesco.

Lasagne and steak were both off the menu.

It seemed pretty shambolic.

This has closed at am all time low with a shareprice that is down 90% over the past 27 months. The market cap is now just £11.l5m. Will the Kaye's pump more money into this company to try and ride the storm or will they just let go at a fire sale price?

I took some late Thursday, feeling it may be at, or close to the bottom.

Eastbourne - Actually the food is pretty good for the price and generally gets good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Got to agree the placing at £1.45 seems a long time ago at present prices that represents just 180k per restaurant.

Recently they dissolved interest in just 4 restaurants and raised 2 Million and therefore have a possible Debt of 3.4Million and a 12Million Banking facility.

So Bookbroker this isn't going into admin.. imho

Do their chains serve dog as this is what this has become.

Amazing to think there was a placing just over a year ago at 7 x the current price.

Despite all that, there has been some very strong buying today.
Folks maybe sensing the 20p mark is about the bottom?

Comment on this being a softer sector, in general, is probably the steep effect on the share price

Hi Hybrasil. I'm not sure I would agree with you. Consumer spending is holding up well albeit marginally down due to negative real earnings growth. Restaurants are not being killed by flat demand, but by too many restaurants competing against each other after aggressive rollouts and significant increases in their cost base. Perfect storm of too many restaurants with too much cost base chasing the same £! I'm not sure that this restaurant group is compelling enough. As Paul Scott said today it's just not very exciting or differentiated.

Now valued at about £300k per restaurant

It just goes to show how bad consumers sentiment is

Whatever the expectations were they wrong and the brokers did not even use/publish them as they were also sceptical and rightly so it seems. Not sure if its case of just finding a bottom now as its survival even looks very questionable.

"The Company is providing a trading update for the 52 weeks ended 31 December 2017. Trading for the period has been in line with expectations. The Board has previously highlighted the difficult trading environment faced by the restaurant sector and expects a further deterioration in 2018."

LOL - does anyone know what these "expectations" were ? The further "deterioration" that they expect this year hardly makes them an investible proposition !

I feel that this is about to lurch down again.
