Looks like solid results.
Production for 2023 from Gib expected to move back to 130m lb.
Just want that permit formalised. Due soon. Of course.

Flo license still ongoing, expecting a draft license and 45 day public consultation to begin shortly. Patience needed but then it always is with investing. Meanwhile results look good with higher prices offsetting lower grades and the Q4 drop off was well flagged. I particularly like the prudent decision to hedge 90% of 2022 output at over $4. Given we are 100% self financing Flo this is a good decision in my view. Thats all from me see you when the license rns lands!

I am hoping for a good raise when Flo is finally permitted ,a lot of the equipment is ordered ,there is a good pilot plant running , everything to play for.

Lack of progress and news on flo is holding this back imo. Until real evidence of production is seen we won't get the uplift we all believe is there imo

Hi, since September there seems to be disconnect between TKO share price on the one hand, and the momentum of Copper combined with the ~85% increase in analyst's TKO eps forecast on the other. .What gives? Is it uncertainty over Florence, unrelenting director sales, or what? Cheers, tightfist

Hi Santar, always one i like to try and keep an eye on too for indications, but key to it is how relative it is. example being Hallbauer who is on $2.5M a year as a base salary and back in 2016 he had acquired some 3.7 million shares. Like any good investor - you don’t put all your eggs in one basket. I’ve not checked how many he has left at his disposal

And the relentless Director selling continues. Are these guys really paid a pittance or what do they know that we don’t?

I have this on my watch list as the prospects (copper price/Flo) seem excellent but these Director sales do make me pause.

No volatility here, never has been, try the TSX listing. We post infrequently because there are not many TKO holders, the posters are genuine, we don’t attract traders and personally having held for a tad under 2 years i only post when there is good news simply because there has been no bad news. A delayed permit, grade changes and bad weather in mining development is bau, not bad news. Whether Flo goes into production in 2023 or 2024 is of little relevance in the context of a 20 year mine life whilst Gib keeps chucking off cash for the next 17 years. If you are after daily excitement you are in the wrong place. If you are genuine and not just a deramper or trader bot which copper plays do you recommend that push your buttons pughman? Please exclude geopolitical high risk stocks e.g caml and any blue sky exploration only e.g pxc. Have a good weekend all.

Rimau, I've traded CAML 6 times since the Kazakh imbroglio kicked off. 252 to 221 to 240 to 226 in a few days is the sort of volatility to be embraced. Kazakhstan will probably be a democracy by the time Florence is up and running. Why do people only ever post on here when there's good news? Never a good sign.

Pughman - i used to hold CAML too so i understand you are frustrated and angry. The good news (to try to cheer you up) is that if you buy TKO you get stable cu production and Flo thrown in for free at todays prices. Doing business in Canada and the US will also allow you to sleep easier than worrying about Kazakhstan, no Russian paratroopers on the streets of BC or nasty government mining taxes!!

The snail paced development of Florence continues. 2024, or more likely 2025, before it's operational.

Resigned to the fact they won’t be doing that.
Just relying on the fact the new mine near enough doubles production but with much much lower costs.
Strong 2022 coming up

Wouldn't it be nice if the ceo and his team took up their options and held them rather than just cashing in for some Xmas money.Perhaps they might reflect over the new year what message this sends to the investing world

Copper rises and still TKO falls, baddeal. Unless I'm misreading the recent RNS's the Directors have exercised their low priced options and then immediately sold them for a juicy profit. Doesn't seem like they're too excited by the near term prospects of TKO.

Nice write up in the IC on how TKO are a innovative greener mining operation at the new Flo mine.
“ Imagine a copper mine that doesn’t have an open pit or kilometres of underground workings: it’s difficult, right? A London-listed, North American-focused company says it will soon have this exact scenario in operation. Taseko Mines (TKO) uses a technology called ‘in-situ leaching’ where copper is effectively pumped out of the ground using a solution similar to an oil well. The company has had success with this method on a small scale in a pilot plant at the Florence project, where it drilled wells, pumped in a leaching solution and then brought up the ‘‘pregnant solution’, containing copper. Taseko is waiting final federal government sign-off to increase the number of these wells from 13 to 90, which would take it to around 40,000 tonnes of copper a year once fully ramped up. The mining industry isn’t known for innovation – while company bosses like to talk up new electric trucks and automation, they are still digging up rock and crushing it. Taseko chief executive Stuart McDonald said its production from the $230m full-scale mine would be “six times less” carbon-intensive than traditionally-mined copper. “We’re getting a lot of interest from end users,” he said, pointing to greater consumer interest in the carbon content of products.

Taseko also has a traditional hole-in-the-ground operation in Canada, the cash flow from which will fund the Florence mine. McDonald said the company was able to abandon its plan to bring in a joint venture partner to fund the new mine thanks to the higher copper price. The company is now waiting on its final permit from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)“
