18/2/2020 15:23 | Indonews You do know that most of is distributed from Northants. Its a pretty big place as well. Everyone will have the same problem re supply. We have containers arriving that were shipped pre new year. Containers are leaving ports just a little slower that normal. I know you sold and are out. tiger | castleford tiger
18/2/2020 14:55 | BAD SODEN, Germany – The implications of the Coronavirus in China for the bicycle and e-bike industry is becoming more clear. Temporary factory closures and quarantine measures are causing supply chain disruptions, or even cause a complete standstill. This is indicated by a survey of the German industry association Zweirad-Industrie-Ve | wapper
18/2/2020 12:10 | In this latest podcast, Graham talks about the “Simon Thompson effect” on share prices, Northamber (#NAR), and the astonishing RNS from Tandem Group (#TND), where Graham is a shareholder. | jpeel60
18/2/2020 11:22 | Consumers won't buy bicycles etc if suppliers don't have any. Sourcing elsewhere e.g. in Europe doesn't help. Most of components are Chinese . Even when get back to work (which has not happened yet) just booking a container to ship the goods will be very difficult. Don't underestimate the impact of this virus : it will be significant. Panic over-ordering will just make it worse. Supply Chain disruptions always impact bottom line . Hopefully it will be brought under control but for sure it will not just be a blip. The longer it takes to resolve the bigger the impact. Not guessing : first hand knowledge. | wapper
18/2/2020 10:13 | So lots of guessing then? Have you checked their stock turn through the accounts? China will affect things but it’ll be a blip. People won’t stop buying bikes and may be a good opportunity. However China would have been closed for two weeks anyhow due to the new year, voles are reporting their factories are back open on a reduced footing. I remember buying pace when their factory n Thailand flooded. Was a great investment as was sometimes due to bad weather. There will be a few more with China e.g zytronic and in a years time will be seen in hindsight as an opportunity. | deanowls
18/2/2020 09:29 | Spot on, tnd are hugely exposed to Corona their supply chain for everything the sell sits in China or countries sourcing raw materials from china, big profit warning coming for sure, even if they have the orders they will be unable to fulfill, tameside drive is really small and does not hold enough stock for any part of the business in my opinion and I'd bet money they offer poor availability generally due to that lack of space, just look at the huge amount of declining brands they own, how could that small warehouse hold enough stock? If they are outsourcing warehousing to the likes of clipper, then I'd view that at a huge cash drain for slow moving stock | indonews
18/2/2020 08:44 | Not sure is massively exposed Wapper as we bring stock from other places. Simply put "who is not facing delays?" My wife is an Author and she has books sitting on a container! I don't think you will get a profit warning. The shares are trading on 4 possibly 5x earnings and company has a market cap below its physical assets so upside far greater INMHO Tiger | castleford tiger
18/2/2020 07:45 | Go back to the 90's and look at the share price then. Keene was there .Possibly the worst performer on the entire stock market since then when you filter in share consolidations and fundraising . And Tandem are massively exposed to Coronavirus supply chain issues in every way. Just waiting for the profits warning . | wapper
14/2/2020 18:18 | you have better contacts than me. Got the 1000 as they had to sell what's on the strip. They moved them straight up on 1000 shares. I had space for 10k but if I tell them they just shove the price up tiger | castleford tiger
14/2/2020 14:35 | I will have to jump over you to get them now then ! | davidosh
14/2/2020 12:57 | trying to buy again. sold me 1000 shares FFS that's not a market. Tiger | castleford tiger
13/2/2020 21:53 | I was appalled by his rant as it was totally uncalled for and could actually be a smear on the company as competitors may use it against us to suggest this is how the directors act in running a company. The shareholders are the owners and it was a rant against a significant number of them. I am shocked that the rest of the board signed off on it and that in itself suggests the corporate governance here needs addressing. I personally speak or see Mervyn on average once every two years so he cannot claim I make his life difficult. If he cannot deal with the strong feelings about dividends and remuneration that are spelt out on this bulletin board then maybe he should not be spending so much time on here ! | davidosh
13/2/2020 15:21 | Not sure Merv really cares. I have only got accounts back to 2004, but in the eight years 2004-2011 he earned £1,507,000 ( £154k; £149k; £147k; £133k; £206k; £207k; £276k; then £116k in 2011 when he was non Exec for 7 months). Since then has been £50,000 per annum as non Exec Chairman, so another c£450,000. Let us call it a round £2,000,000 since 2004 | graham1ty
13/2/2020 14:40 | Sorry i meant good riddance for his utterly disgraceful attack on shareholders We have the best group of shareholders here | nico115
13/2/2020 14:38 | Mr Keene should stop reading this bulletin board and start trying to add shareholder value What a rude man undeserving of his position on the BOD | nico115
13/2/2020 14:36 | So Graham Neary has a stake. It seems we can add him to the list of potential attendees at the AGM. Worth listing to for the history of MK .... | 18bt
13/2/2020 12:39 | I think the ducks are being lined up and the reason for the rant in the T/U was probably because he knew he had to go. tiger | castleford tiger

13/2/2020 10:26 | Hi Castleford Tiger, There are all sorts of ways for Directors to extract an 'enhanced pension' pay-out to the disadvantage of the Scheme's finances and the other pension holders. I won't go into them here as I wouldn't want to give them any ideas. Regards, Maddox | maddox
13/2/2020 08:44 | #3782 Davidosh - Why wait for the AGM if you are going to be activist - request a private meeting now | zoolook
