I wonder if Vietnam will take over from China as the place which the West will look to in the future as first port of call to get goods manufactured. It has weathered the Pandemic remarkably well without a single death out of a population of 90 million. It is on good terms with the West and the fastest growing economy in the World plus very hard working and reliable people. It's a shame that tourism has been hit badly there but that will bounce back I am sure.

“ Mr Johnson believes that the pandemic provides an opportunity for the government to reinforce the message that people need to lead healthy lives. He is said to be “obsessed̶1; with encouraging more people to cycle to work and believes it is a good moment to “get Britain on its bike”.”

Blimey forecasting June weather. I will be interested to see if that prediction is accurate. Although June is probably more wet than dry so you have more than a 50% chance of being correct.

Tiger: No it is interesting - are bike shops running out of stock due to increased demand (quite likely) or due to cuts in production (also likely).... Hence bull bear tussle ....

But yes either way you look at it trading at NAV value is clearly going to help the Bulls..... LOL...

(and Glavely:its a self evident truth - when money is REALLY tight you take the cheapest option that still enables you to get to work - bike - I think you'll have to prove to me its not so)

Wet June coming up so it will give them a chance to re stock.

The toy market is strong with strong orders I am told.

Either way this looks very cheap again.

Trading at NAV value so nothing for the company that makes 2 m a year.

Just that silly spread again

"Its worth pointing out in a recession people are more likely to use a bike then (sic) either public transport or a car as of course its miles cheaper."

What evidence is there to support this claim?

Of course I laugh however actually is it that funny? Tandem are a bunch of glorified box shifters. Raleigh know how to hold a spanner and make a bicycle out of a box of parts !

Debs. You brought up Halfords and Tandem once I posted about it. That's funny.
I got in with £5k at 180p Monday morning.
Happy to hold for a while, potential takeover target in future IMO.
P.E. Ratio of 6, not bad.
