23/3/2010 07:52 | Looks like a ploy to spike GG's plans to me. But a step forward none the less. | philjeans
23/3/2010 07:32 | No I am more surpised to see GW offer some positivity!! I also think the typo is funny - apparently he 'isan experienced non-executive director' | supreme mo
23/3/2010 07:09 | A new NED. They claim he is an experienced NED, but the form only lists one PLC and that was more than 5 years ago. Anyone know him? | 18bt
22/3/2010 09:00 | Interesting read on pension deficits gg | greengiant
21/3/2010 10:47 | Is thre anything in this weekends press about the recent price rise? | supreme mo
20/3/2010 08:55 | still struggling to find one: also look at the brand characters on offer too: Ah I can only see 2 ben 10 bikes, 1 thomas the tank engine and 2 barbie's - visibility could be much better. I think they are missing a massive potential market here IMHO - arguably the biggest toy retailler and they aren't maximising exposure.. | supreme mo
20/3/2010 08:51 | Because when I went in there last time (purchasing a toy for his birthday mid last year for my nephew), I couldn't see a TND brand there whatsoever.... and if my memory serves me correctly, I did look for about 5 mins... | supreme mo
20/3/2010 07:09 | Why on earth would you think Tandem do not supply ToysRus? | puffin tickler
19/3/2010 23:52 | Do TND currently supply ToysRus? My gut feeling is they don't - if not, then they are missing a huge trick/opportunity here, especially with the children's brands they have. Overall a good week for holders. For once, I am looking forward with optimism. | supreme mo
19/3/2010 09:41 | Well said. And the same applies to Ben Sayers marketing. | wraz
19/3/2010 09:27 | GG. They need to start making some more upmarket bikes. I pay between £1000 and £2500 for a bike when i buy one and the shop that i buy from is making a fortune knocking out top end of the mill road race bikes and the margins are huge, i know because i see what they sell for from the factory across the pond, i like Marin bikes for their style and appearance and they are reliable so worth paying the extra. Admire what you are doing here, it's long overdue, used to have a reasonable holding but got bored and sold out not that long before you have done this which is typical, there is the potential to make double/treble the current profits, Tandem are simply not taking advantage of the fact that bikes is and has been a boom industry for last 5 years thanks to the publicity that the GB riders and team sky give them. | watchout2
19/3/2010 09:13 | yes £350 to be exact, i was dissapointed really. I expected to pay £250 maximum for the quality of what i got, but was shocked as in the £250 price range none of the brands of bikes were carrying the level of equipment i would have expected or desired. Again maybe just me. | envirovision
19/3/2010 08:58 | enviro - Interesting you went to Halfords - Price range for your bike between £250 - £400? Now compare what you bought the CB - I know which one I would choose and it isn't CB gg | greengiant
19/3/2010 08:35 | PS - RNSM is a good example of how to rejuvenate a dying brand, even with the Q&W issues. gg EDIT - I would also welcome a pull back in share price for obvious reasons | greengiant
18/3/2010 19:25 | envirovision.....I cannot give investment advice but at some stage with such a small holding you either say ok...this looks to have turned the corner so I will invest considerably more to make my investment and following it worthwhile or you just sell them or donate them to charity as they have negligible value. I guess most are pleased but not used to the sudden surge in share value. At this point with thousands of shareholders in the same position as you it is probable that Tandem can make more money providing a counselling service for distressed shareholders than selling bikes and toys ....lol | davidosh
18/3/2010 17:57 | Well i tell you what gg, I had 50,000 shares in MV sports once upon a time, I am now left with a grand total of 40 Tandem Shares. If you think you can get the share price above £25 per share, i may have some hope of getting my just money back. Actually make that £30 taking into account inflation. | envirovision
18/3/2010 14:06 | These are just some of the opportunities open to Tandem, if they can market their product well. gg | greengiant
18/3/2010 13:17 | Thanks marben100. I'll check if Vislink have suddenly changed their NOMAD too. edit - they haven't | asagi
18/3/2010 13:10 | Just for info, I observe that Venaglass have also been reducing other holdings: (Vislink, VLK) Cheers, Mark | marben100
18/3/2010 12:21 | Tandem fingered as an example of poor governance | alunmorris
18/3/2010 09:56 | I will also be feeding back a detailed analysis of my meeting with the directors of Tandem on April 6th. I will also be asking for your questions to put to the board (I have neither all the questions nor the answers). This is an example of the value that change can create, all shareholders need to be involved in that change (management included) gg | greengiant
18/3/2010 09:52 | Sambre - Nothing much in the e-mail, merely asking dd for the e-mail address of the fund manager he had contacted at Jupiter Asset Management. I would like it so that I can mention that shareholders have tried to address these issues with them before. I will be meeting JAM in the next week. Nothing more than that - if there is any info that I can share I will, this is a process which ALL shareholders should be involved in. gg | greengiant |
