Charles Dunstone, Founding Executive Director of TalkTalk, buys a massive 6,000,000 shares in TalkTalk at 104p +.

A very significant purchase. Amount spent by Dunstone on the share purchase is c. £6.25million.

My only concern is a shortage of liquidity compared with their competitors, otherwise they have the ball at their feet. We need to see an agreement with a heavyweight financial partner.

Excellent news for the sector which will drive growth and demand.

Two very encouraging recent broker updates

18th. July.

Barclays REITERATES OVERWEIGHT with TARGET PRICE at 150p
Deutsche REITERATES BUY with TARGET PRICE at 184p

Deutsche still see 75% UPSIDE to current share price.

In his victory speech yesterday, Boris Johnson vows to give every home in the UK full-fibre broadband. That is quite specific detail for Johnson to mention in the same breath as Hospitals and Education. Highlighting the importance he puts on the vital necessity of broadband for everyone in even the remotest rural communities as a key driver in the economy.

This has to be very positive news for providers of broadband to urban and non-urban UK communities with the UK government's new PM giving total backing to this sector.

Good news for the sector and for TalkTalk.

According to today’s Times, the fall was due to “reports of issues with email service”

Reaction seems a bit overdone but shows the sensitivity of the market to any IT/Talk related stories (post Harding’s big data breach).

Jmid, I wish we knew. All the positives have been around for the last 6 months regarding their plans for fibre roll out. I would have thought the openreach opening up their network to competitors would have helped

Good figures this morning.

Cost savings will soon start to feed through with positive impact. Fibre to the fore as a key driver in TT's strategy.

Buoyant outlook.

Last night's TV prog was old news and as such priced in and of little real substance.



Expectant that Talktalk will swiftly make up any lost ground.
