05/10/2018 12:47 | As you say 1gw, relatively few "free float" shares in issue. This limit on liquidity must present a greater risk to shorters though, as in the event of a bid approach (say), there will be a magnification of the squeeze effect as shorters try to close their positions (and limit losses). | septimus quaid
05/10/2018 12:22 | I bet not many of those other companies on the list have 80% of their shares held by the top 5 holders though. Here we have the founders (Dunstone and Ross) holding 40% between them and another 40% held between Toscafund (16%), Invesco (13%) and Capital (11)% if I have my numbers right. So 2.6% short interest in the context of what might be viewed as an effective free float of just 20% is reasonably significant I think. And Euroclear reports about 8% of the shares out on loan (September average), so aggregate short positions, including those below the 0.5% declaration threshold, could be significantly higher than 2.6%. | 1gw

03/10/2018 08:34 | italy playing ball now with budget, so should be a relief rally generally | kmann
02/10/2018 18:17 | Back in at just below 115. Floor of rising channel, not easy to call but confidence in the bod to strike a deal at some point all imo ofc dyor. | rathean
02/10/2018 08:25 | Didn't think it would go down to this level | teamwork1
02/10/2018 08:11 | and another buy point. Those moving averages potentially starting to point to trend change. | kmann
01/10/2018 15:19 | fall seems way overdone imo, shorts not exactly piling in, usually offset by funds buying. | kmann
01/10/2018 13:10 | re above, not sure about the enormity of the shorting rumours: 24/09/18 Blackrock short position up 0.1% 25/09/18 JP Morgan short position up 0.04% | septimus quaid
27/9/2018 14:43 | Ditto, today’s Times, “rumours of new short position on stock” | septimus quaid
27/9/2018 10:49 | Re share price fall, the only explanation I’ve seen published was in yesterday’s Times newspaper (biggest movers) and this was to say “telecoms sector out of favour”. Whatever that’s supposed to mean. Otherwise, ticking back up today | septimus quaid
27/9/2018 09:29 | Another stupid selloff for zero reason now being bought up. The spivs really knnow how to milk it don't they. If anything the skybid SHOULD be adding value to the sector as these type of companies are becoming rarer so more valuable. These were 400p on the last bid rumour! | kmann
26/9/2018 20:13 | The Sky takeover crossed my mind but BT share price not really affected and they’re in the same boat | septimus quaid

21/9/2018 15:04 | Looks good. Enough volatility fir the traders too. | kmann
20/9/2018 14:33 | Invesco just sold a 0.6% block of their shareholding in TalkTalk reducing their exposure to a still massive 12.97% - perhaps just a bit of understandable profit-taking after a great recent run by Talktalk. question is who bought the juicy 0.6% chunk of Talktalk, given its increasingly limited free-float. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
19/9/2018 17:17 | Easier said than done, because you have to pick the re-entry point as well. I have had some successes doing that on some shares (at the margin around a core holding), but also some "failures" in that the share hasn't fallen back sufficiently for me to get back in and I've been left with a smaller holding than I would have liked. | 1gw
19/9/2018 13:32 | From my experience take theProfit and buy again when it goes down | teamwork1
19/9/2018 10:49 | I'm still hoping for a short squeeze, but it needs some news, or at least a good rumour. I must admit it's getting quite tempting at this level to take some profit on my last tranche. | 1gw
19/9/2018 09:29 | It should have a pull back. It did last time when it dropped to 1.22. So let's see. | teamwork1
19/9/2018 09:26 | is that AFTER it hits 160 team? | kmann |
