I know he is a good guy, and he will be at a loss over the progress in terms of valuation, but that just reflects the climate, hence Tosca and himself need to formulate a strategy to raise the price, already had one dilution last year, shareholders do not need another, need to be talking about a sale to one of the other providers, it will not result in a material premium to now, but I just do not see how they will cut the mustard in the long run against more powerful operators!

He can afford to be flamboyant, held in regard with a CVO to go with his gong in front, he has achieved a lot creating a company from zero, but that is being eroded. He’ll never be short of bob, when CPW floated at whatever price it was valued then at around £2bln, and the boys pocketed a few hundred million between themselves, probably spent a few quid buying choice assets in the process. But that was then, this now, and it is looking pretty murky out there!

fair comments bookbroker, as a long term holder this is looking pretty sh1t.

I thought we'ed turned the corner with the departure of Baroness Clueless of Winscombe.

Having been to the last couple of AGMs, I've been quietly impressed with Tristia Harrison though. A good complement to Dunstone's brusk flamboyancy. Hmmm, not that I've seen that reflected in the share price.

It’s called raping a company of its assets, and then trying to figure out what to do next to squeeze a few more drops of reserves out of it. Dunstone may say that he has seen the best part of a billion in value lost, but took about £150mln in dividends in the process, and in the process screwed the company to pay for his other interests. Left TALK with a large debt instead of paying it down and re-investing, here we are, no good him talking the company’s share price is doing that for him!

Tosca have now increased their holding in TalkTalk to a massive 17.1% (from 16.2%).

Clearly Tosca still have a great deal of interest and faith in TalkTalk to have yet again further built their stake.

Things very quiet from Daisy Group these days.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Short positions have recently tailed off markedly in TalkTalk.

Whilst the telecoms sector is somewhat out of favour with the market and investors, the actual and fundamental demand for the underlying product of ever faster broadband remains stronger than ever and on a stratospheric growth path.

Competition, regulation and price margins make for a tough market but strong underlying demand continues.

TalkTalk's major investment in Full-Fibre To The Premises (FFTTP) and other broadband initiatives will increasingly add to TalkTalk's rehabilitation and profitability as a key player in the UK broadband market.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

HSBC, downgrade. No worries share price went up. People in the know, just invite one of their sales people. Their fibre order book is top heavy with average B2B rentals north of £250 monthly with good margin. CD is a smart player been around since the 80's No worries

Leveraged buyout at these levels possible, the cash flow is ok, debt higher than preferable, but most likely easily covered, bid premium would not be too high, but this is not beyond the realms of possibility!

Criminal what is happening here, beginning to believe that it was orchestrated to ensure that the phone side of CPW was merged with DC. because it was likely that in time the capital generated and cost of operations would suck the life out of the entirety, in the meantime let’s saddle the internet provider with all the debt, and bleed that part of the business for our annual dividend, it’s cash flow is far superior, all the time masking the flaw in that rationale, and now the chickens are coming home to roost. Why did the two recent deals fail to materialise, was it hubris on Dunstone’s part!

Talk been a serial disappointment in the last two years, amazed me that the big chief, Dunstone, not wished for an outlet, he clearly has belief in the company and that things will come right, Harding a disaster, but Tristia seems to have a better grasp, irrespective of recent accounting issue!

Don't understand why this is so much under the cosh. From Quarter 3 update :- We continue to see profits grow year on year driven by revenue growth from a bigger base and stabilising ARPU from re-contracting behaviour and Fibre upsell. And the outlook :
Confident in strong FY20 EBITDA growth, in line with market expectations 4. Growth driven by customer momentum and cost savings (£25m-£30m annualised from reorganisation and HQ move, with approximately two-thirds of this expected in FY20

Patience needed - I think this will recover.

Harding was just a puppet, worked for TCG, KGF and SBRY, maybe ok for a customer service advisor, but during her tenure it was awful, totally ill-equipped for the job, but I guess behind the scenes someone was pulling the strings, and no big hitter would put up with that!
