11/6/2017 12:39 | Today's (hard copy) Sunday Telegraph business section re SSE getting into the fibre optic business: SSE spokesman "refused to rule out a major acquisition such as TalkTalk as a shortcut to a major player status". I'm not sure what he meant by this bit: "...but said SSE had a clear idea of (what) multiple broadband subscribers are worth" A bit ambiguous, does he mean they aren't prepared to overpay or are such outfits worth paying a premium for? To save me typing anymore, I'm sure someone will post a link to the full article. | septimus quaid
09/6/2017 11:00 | 08/06/17, from HL website, Barclays Capital Reiterates Overweight I must confess that I had to look this up: "Overweight as part of a three-tiered rating system, along with "underweight" and "equal weight", is used by financial analysts to indicate a particular stock's attractiveness. If a stock is recommended to be "overweight", the analyst opines that the stock is better value for money than others." | septimus quaid
01/6/2017 11:31 | Article, hard copy Times, about BT (Openreach) reducing wholesale copper broadband charges to rivals. "to avoid a lengthy legal battle over pricing" Not sure if a 91p reduction (per household) to £84.38 is that big a deal? Personally, as is the usual BT way, I think they're taking the p1ss | septimus quaid
01/6/2017 00:44 | And ended on a high.... Bodes well for tomorrow when hopefully we see £1.80 again. | joemillion

31/5/2017 13:34 | When did they ever get any tips correct. Papers tips have lost me a lot of money in the past. Pinch of salt for The Times | au24
30/5/2017 10:49 | Wonder if this morning's beating up is related to the BA IT debacle over the weekend ("race memory" and all that)? | septimus quaid
26/5/2017 05:46 | Inform TALK customer relations ! | garycook
25/5/2017 20:40 | I just wish their systems worked. I used online system to order an upgrade to my package, got an email with order number, then nothing so I had to chase. The email even said follow your order by logging into your account which I did and it said no current orders. Their website for account holders leaves a lot to be desired with a new front page linking to old areas and some links that dead end into messages'we are having technical difficulties'. The whole thing needs to become much more slick and professional to represent the scale of company they are. | rik shaw
25/5/2017 13:13 | Lots of advertising in the media for talk talk. | au24
24/5/2017 12:50 | Goldman are only downgrading TALK.Because they would love to buy at 150p.Its the same old trick from them, time and time again.Goldman Sachs 17/05 Sell CNA Reiterates 174p.SP has gone from 192p to 206p,on GS Sell rec. !!! | garycook
24/5/2017 12:27 | Added another 53k at 176.75 today. Fall well over done today. | joemillion
24/5/2017 10:32 | That's a decent move by Invesco from their January position. If my records are up to date we now have: 30.8% Charles Dunstone 15.0% Capital Group Companies 13.8% Invesco 11.9% David Ross So over 70% controlled by 2 original founders and just 2 institutions. That should make it really easy to sell the company if that's what they wanted to do - and really easy for a potential buyer to get a sense of what price it would take to get a recommended deal. | 1gw
24/5/2017 10:16 | Does'nt appear to have bothered Investco.... | sawney
24/5/2017 10:09 | Downgraded by the Goldman Sachs gang from 190p to 150p could account for early weakness.... | ashbox
24/5/2017 07:37 | Just carrying this conversation with myself: Wonder if that is why Blackrock seem to be cautiously unwinding their short, the last thing a bottom twitcher needs is an out of the blue bid? | septimus quaid
23/5/2017 12:48 | Reasonably bullish article via an update in the DT's Questor column today. "It could therefore be a matter of time before analysts start to ponder whether Talk could be a bid candidate" Article suggests a buy | septimus quaid
