Agreed,

More rearranging of the chairs on the deck of RMS T42, which hopefully will aid buoyancy for another year, if lucky!

Clearly, the bottom line is, no one wants their product!

They've over hyped it..... AVOID!

Well that is a surprise funding at a decent premium.

Considering how bad some placings have been lately this is pretty good.

Others might disgaree

It's their track record that is the concern.....

I took a loss today. I'm just seeing all the prices stocks are doing placings at and thinking will Trac do their usual placing too and what price will they get in this market.

Might be wrong, might not do one and if they do they might be able to get one away close to the current price but I do not fancy taking the risk in this market

Great comments recently, but still no solid news!

Market has now lost faith it would seem, and pricing in a cash call??

I agree.

for technology it is worth noting that for £20-70 one can buy a remote security device on Amazon that will send a message to your phone if triggered.
In Asia you can surely buy the core parts very cheaply & create your own security sector product. Sure, you need to pay costs for engineers & software ppl. make prototypes, test, modify the design, test again, modify/improve & so on. But in 2022 it is not rocket science.
(look for example at the performance of a £150 smart phone which now does everything (GPS, bluetoouth, wi-fi, calls, internet, radio, games, TV, videos .....does everything except make toast !)

(patents. I think that Trac doesn't have any).

I agree on the point that the products look attractive - both the container tracking and Lokies products in particular.

That said - Trac or Starcom as it was have a long history of announcing RNS 'deals' and 'framework agreements' that 'have the potential to reach £Xm' but never end up doing so.

If you plough back through a few years of RNS's you will find similarly worded agreements that never amounted to much.

For those reasons you have to remain pretty sceptical here. As I say, seemingly great technology but not so hot on the execution, imho. NAI. The TRAC record is not great.

My view on TRAC:-

1) it's highly investable on a risk/reward basis except for one key reason. They are running out of cash and have loans, including a convertible, albeit at a higher conversion price.

2) They hyped things after their name change. Note the January news where exclusivity was given to a distributor for the U.S. The distributor, a mysterious company called Openbox, had to bring in USD 76m of business over the five years of the 'contract' to retain exclusivity. It appears that so far Openbox hasn't brought in $1 of revenues, let alone a significant contribution to the USD $76.

I think their latest linked-in video is an example of hype. It shows expensive offices and quite a lot of staff waving. It doesn't work for me given that it highlights they are burning cash and abundant staff and expensive offices are a mismatch with their current financial status.

3) The Technology development is impressive, given it's done on such a low budget. It's led by the son of the CEO and has produced Lockies which won the award for innovation from DHL.

4) Are TRAC unlucky or just poor at closing significant contracts? Nothing of significance has emerged from DHL, and other large organisations that have been mentioned in the past, including Philip Morris, United Nations, Russian Railroad and the list goes on.

Has TRAC just done pilots for free in order to use big names to hype up the share price in the past? Could they still get significant contracts after such a long time since mentioning them? Or is it simply a case that big companies will not deal with TRAC given they have no cash and are running on fumes?

Despite the negatives and tendency to overpromise and under-deliver, I think TRAC is an enticing risk/reward play once they sort out their cash position.

They have exceptionally good products and innovate from a low-cost base. The shares are illiquid so any positive news produces a significant move up, but investors will want to see solid figures. The unfulfilled expectations created by previous extravagant announcements have damaged trust and credibility from my perspective.

The other issue is that TRAC made a big issue of the fact that they had just 12 to 18 months lead over competitors. That was about 11 months ago. Given the innovative skills within the Company they may have kept ahead of the competition. Who knows. It's the sort of stock that could easily trade at 50p plus, but the current risk is too great for me due to their obvious funding. In the current market, that would be quite deeply discounted from current levels.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg - they need a substantive contract to raise the share price so that any funding is not too dilutive. They are, however, perhaps unlikely to get a contract of any magnitude unless they get their balance sheet sorted.

Perhaps a sale of the Company is the best hope for a significant return from here - at least until they get properly funded for the next year or so. Could TRAC move up significantly before getting funding? Definitely, if they could land a significant contract. That's for braver investors than me given the funding needed.

A couple of day like we have just had with CPX would be good. It's probably going to need Avi to announce some of those sales he expected to be announced first.

Quiet day for TRAC but with the RNS announcing the sales all will change very quickly I'm absolutely sure about that.

looking at the interim rpt the co. is losing ~1 million $/ year

so, does the co. need to do a cash raise in order to get a 1 year going concern statement in its accounts, to avoid suspension in 2023 if can't get a going concern statement from its auditor ?

good luck to holders

but 2022 ends in ~6 weeks & the hoped for sizeable contracts arriving in 2022 have not happened in the 46 weeks that have gone past so far in 2022.

...I hope the contracts do arrive, for the workers & shareholders.
-----

What is the cash situation ?
since if another cash raise was needed via new shares (I assume that bank loans are already max'd out, as before) , it will surely be more difficult to get it away than last time. & at lower price than last time.

I don't hold, I have in the past.

Another impatient seller but I suppose in fairness time is ticking on without further news of sales, contracts which is disappointing but I still believe it will come and then we’ll be away back upwards strongly.

First trade of the day a buy although no more than chicken feed. We need to see some volume or better still a new contract of further sales to trigger the volume. I have every confidence it will come and then the share price will move quickly as only a few shares in play.

Joul also issued RNSs including 'feel good text'....
...'this is progressing, that change is going well'

but it also had debts, like TRAC has debts

the Joul shares are now suspended & I think it has gone in to administration.

-----

Volvere bt a company out of administration, making cheesecakes. They invested some money in to it but failed to turn it around. That subsidiary has stopped work, workers gone, in administration.

It can be difficult to stay in business. Lots of costs, taxes & overheads to support. Plenty of listed companies are de-listing & going in to administration.

I hope TRAC avoids that but investors should note it has debts & that it has always been loss making since listing & only stayed afloat due to repeat cash raises. And yes, there is competition.

Ah, the chart going from 5p to 28p & then to 8p shows that it is high risk & , well, unstable.

Buyer had to pay full offer for just 255 shares. Now if that doesn’t indicate how this will take off on good news.

I like it when directors put their money into a company, shows commitment as well as confidence.

After yesterday’s sells causing a slight drop we are progressing upwards again today and on tiny volume as well. The big question is will sellers appear before anything from the BOD confirming any progress.

We need some news of further contracts and sales to get this moving. Massive potential for the share price to double and more from here on such good news but while silence from the BOD the share price remains at this low level.

Moves very quickly on good news and so there will be no buying at this level when such a RNS is released.

Small sell to start the day and not a continuation of buying that we had yesterday. Yet !
