Right pulled backed to the 52/53p level. Last two times it has done this, the share price moved up to +70p in short order.

Will it do so again?

The evidence is building that Interferon works for this Coronavirus. The links I posted yesterday about the Hong Kong study concluded they wanted to do more trials solely with IFN. As the word spreads other investors will come in and take the shares available from the Sellers. The market cap here is £65m, those investing into Gilead increased the market cap by some $15 billion so it will not take much buying from larger investors.

On what basis is it illogical? I am more than happy to be corrected.

I work on the basis that if I have invested X and it goes to Y then I have to look at the balance within my portfolio. I am not an idiot and understand that companies invest for the long term and are not interested in taking the first profit that presents itself. However, these shares came via a placing and after the Woodford debacle. There are different "pressures" at work here.

vitec, exactly, IF there's an issue it's that the 34p issue should have carried a tie in time limit before trading was allowed, water under the bridge, it is what it is.

gbh2, in the main you are right. I suspect it is a bit more fundamental in the sense that they need the profit to offset losses in other parts of the portfolio. SNG has given them an opportunity to balance out the profit/loss ratio and therefore performance looks a whole lot better against the wider market. It seems only Pharma and Tech stocks are doing well so if you have some of these it makes sense to take some profit.

Larger companies also have limits of how much capital they are happy to hold in any share, If Link or Lansdown had 10 million shares valued at 35p and they subsequently went to 70p and that was double the amount of capital they felt comfortable with then they would be selling down some of those shares.

If I had deep pockets I too would have purchased millions at 34p and sold them gradually until I was running on free shares, then I would have trickle sold to build my profit right up to the time of the Trial announcement.

Quids in whether results are good or indifferent.

The delayed trades over the next 60 minutes will give an indication if there is more larger selling going on.

For me buying time is when nthing is released from SNG. If a RNS comes or even a positive twitter message or whatever you have to pay more.

In Europe we are still struggling with the first wave. In Asia they are facing the second wave already. Yesterday I heard on the radio that in Seoul / South Korea they close down again the night life district due to the second wave.

Corona is far away from being over and we can anticipate already that SNG will come into the focus back again! So imho NOW is buying time ;-)

Looking to go again and buy more. I suspect there are a lot of us sitting on the sidelines wanting to buy but want some validation that the share price is going to rise. Rather pay a little more and have a rising share price then pay a little less but it continues to fall.

Hi vitec, I topped up a bit as well.

We are nearly at the bottom of the sideways channel. Bottom means 50 - 55 and the upper end of the channel is around 70.

So from my perspective there is a good chance that it turns up again today or tomorrow.

Lets see.

It will only inconvenience you if you don’t live upto your name sake. share price was less than 20p two months ago. Speed is of the essence here so they had to attract the money in to achieve completion of the trial and get the product moving. The company has moved quickly and efficiently in my view. Would you rather they did it at 5p higher and took longer or raised less cash and not meet demand further down the line? Bit of a throw away comment, don’t let it stop you selling if they made such a mess of it.

Managed to get 10k shares. My timing is usually wrong but who knows. This has the feeling of a falling knife but I genuinely cannot call what is a good risk/reward ratio with a background seller. My view for what it is worth is negative trial result the share price will be half to a third of what it is now. Positive trial result it could be 4 to 8 times the current share price GLA

It’s going down because Lansdowne are dumping shares, not because it’s a bad company... once their done it moves back up to 70p +

It’s not exactly rocket science is it? Someone is selling lots ie millions, this will take time as they don’t want to crash the share price and it seems mid 50s is the selling range for these millions. Once they are gone or reach their holding % which will happen over the next few weeks whichever it is we will build anticipation towards results in June demand will increase and then guess what the buying pressure will lift the share price There will be news in between and it’s now about being patient.
