I am not sure that is fair, the government are investing in anything that looks like it could help. They are limited by what is available at the moment and confirmed works, so late stage interventions, hospital capacity, CPAP, ventilators, dexamethasone and preventative options, vaccines, which may or may not work.

If the Int-B data checks out (this is where they are at the moment I believe), then this will be fast tracked into the NHS and the UK government will be all over it as will all other countries.

I need to do some research into the technology, patents, delivery devices, manufacturing capabilities etc. to get a better handle on what needs to happen next. This is different to dexa-, which was an established product and could be supplied to the market on demand. I am not sure what other hoops need to be jumped through as this is a new medicine in effect. The regulatory experts will know better than me but my understanding is that you need to demonstrate that any device you are using which is new is safe/reliable, that you can manufacture consistent batches of the product and so on. Will do more reading on this tomorrow.

What I will say is that if this ticks all the right boxes, then it will quickly become a standard of care.
