I'm waiting to see the latest "Major Shareholders" list to assess who's reducing or increasing their interest.

There is, I'm afraid, a danger that the company will fall into administration and then be taken into private hands. But I don't think we have reached that point yet with Rea sorting out the problems the previous MD left the company with.

Interesting week, company releases statement. Statement reinforces the fact that major restructuring continues and results will be very bad. MM's try to take advantage, drop bid sufficiently, no one sells. So we are back to where we started.

Becoming more and more obvious the previous guy was a BS merchant of the highest order & there's still questions to be asked re the NE Chairman's BS comments imo!!

No queue forming to sell at 1p - I should think not ! Should hear soon then what the rescue plan is. I still think the company has a future,simply because Rea put his money in.

What a strange Update, things are worse than we thought but "the cash position is ahead of forecast" guess we'll see buyers and sellers today ;)

More'non cash writedowns' but 'cash position ahead of forecasts'. Sounds ok to me - what does anyone else make of that update this morning ?

We should see some results mid April, so I'd prefer not to think too deeply about this until after I see what's going on.

Have searched the internet for news - nothing ! Anybody got any news at all on this company ? Note that Mr Rea and Getz are by far and away the bigger shareholders with the gap set to get even bigger should the proposal around the loan notes be passed (gun to shareholder's heads!). Makes me wonder if it is in either one's interest to publish any news whether good or bad. If bad :- holding value diminishes, if good :- share value increases and loan note exchange rate goes down. Anybody any thoughts ??

I hope they don't GM because we need the jobs in our area, on the positive side our labour costs are still low and if we need to buy materials in the pound is strong.

gbh2, I do hope not. The manufacturing problems of the last two years' end were artificial: intermediaries committed to taking at least a specified minimum of stock by value, and leaving it to the last minute to order stuff they did not really need. Hopefully the new approach will only supply stock that is needed (and hopefully new stock will be needed!), so there will not be a year end scrabble to fill orders. If we had been still manufacturing abroad when we hit the year end problems, the delay in fulfilling the orders would have been even worse.

Still no news. Thought that after that bit of activity Monday we might be getting an update very soon.
Does anyone who reads this thread know any staff who work at the company ? Or can walk past and see if the lights are still on ? Would be good to know if the employees are sat with their feet on their desks, drinking coffee and waiting for their P45's, or busy doing overtime to meet the new flood of orders that have come in. Anyone any idea as to what, if anything, is going on there ?

Since they tore up their strategy last Autumn it would be a miracle if they already knew how successful the new approach is likely to be. We'll get news when there is news to get.

Selling at this price is giving in, the company IF the company thinks its helping by not giving updates then it's either in a worse mess than I thought or they simply don't care.

Makes a total mockery of the June 2014 AGM comments and most of the Chairman's comments over the last two years............Maybe they periodically woke him up and told what to write!!
