20/2/2016 15:07 | Was that a large sell at close of play Friday???..250000 @18p. | regandharry5
20/2/2016 09:04 | Talking down. Scaremongering. Let's see what is in the pipeline. | hitch19
19/2/2016 19:38 | Aye and just down the road and round the corner from Jaguar / Land Rover in Speke, which I think is a bit better than their previous location - neighbours was Vauxhall! | swiss paul
19/2/2016 13:33 | Thanks for that Knownowt - I was told 20p by the nomad at the AGM so it is encouraging that they have raised it since. All ducks aligning here. | longshanks
18/2/2016 17:53 | longshanks, I agree with everything that you have said but I think that the Cantor target price is 25p, at present. However, were an OEM order to be confirmed, I am sure that the TP would be bound to be raised as the cash flow would be discounted from a considerably higher level. The board has to be confident of the tangibility of the orders to sanction the expansion of production capacity. | knownowt
18/2/2016 17:14 | SCE not mentioned by name in the Megabuild series last night, but they did say that the brake manufacturer was the only one in the world who could manufacture brake discs and pads to the level required for Build they were doing. It made a terrific difference to the braking of the V8 Vantage, and that was really needed after they did the water cooled supercharger conversion that added 200bhp to the engine. Fantastic car and Mr Khan had already had enquiries about selling the car. Very enjoyable to watch. And , Yes, SCE have confirmed the brakes used were theirs. | regandharry5
18/2/2016 12:26 | Fund raising is generally at a discount to the prevailing market price although not always: I bought stock in placing last April at 13p when I could have bought at the same price in the market and possibly a little lower. I have not been informed of any forthcoming placing and am therefore free to speculate like anyone else. I guess the question to ask is - what will the market price be as and when they feel they are ready to do a new placing? To date much of the funds raised on the market have come from private investors with relatively little institutional interest. This is not too surprising as many funds do not want to invest in companies with a market cap as low as that of SCE. This position could very well be re-evaluated as and when details of the OEM automotive contracts are fully disclosed. If SCE can illustrate a derisked prospective P/E of less than 2 - the house broker, Cantor Fitzgerald, will inevitably release a heavily revised price target (currently 20p) that, I think, will get the attention of many new investors large and small. | longshanks
18/2/2016 09:35 | Why so few trading?. Do investors believe any fundraising would be below the current market price? | albert_einstein
18/2/2016 08:46 | Great news. | hitch19
18/2/2016 08:40 | it is pleasing to provide this update both to prospective customers and shareholders. That is the real message of this RNS.The ability to produce at scale is important for many of the customers they are courting. In the current economic climate with local authorities extremely strapped for cash, these kinds of grants are scarce and difficult to win. They would have had to provide a great deal of evidence that the customers are going to be there for them to get this grant/loan. I can only presume that other news is imminent. Both on the details of the vehicle models for the new OEM customers and shortly, in the wake of that announcement, details of a fundraising. | longshanks
18/2/2016 07:58 | This does now take one of the Not Known queries and file it under Known. | regandharry5
18/2/2016 07:57 | Another step forward and no mention of a placing. Did anybody see the Supercar Megabuild on Mational Geographic last night I've put in on record series, but didn't get a chance to watch it. Don't know if Surface Transforms were mentioned but it was going to be the Aston Martin Vantage V8 using CCST Brakes. I'm watching after I walk the dogs this am. | regandharry5
18/2/2016 07:22 | Still all seems a long way off | talkman2
18/2/2016 07:10 | All good progress. Another piece of the jigsaw in place | graham1ty
16/2/2016 13:42 | As I see it Tim, the company would be qualified to apply but many potential investors may be disqualified unless all current holdings were those issued under an EIS scheme. | longshanks
16/2/2016 13:34 | Assuming there is a placing I'm wondering whether it will qualify for EIS/VCT tax breaks this time around. The rules have changed considerably since the last placing, furthermore HMRC now have quite a backlog on issuing EIS approvals under the new rules (policed by Brussels) since they were introduced in November 2015. | timbo003
16/2/2016 13:23 | ls:> Glad to see you are back in action - Agree with all you say above but based on way the price is drifting I have a gut feel that something may be leaking and the placing price could be closer to 15p/17p though I know nothing and am not inside. The price action could just be that someone needs to sell and in the current market the price is being walked down in the absence of buyers. I certainly hope I am wrong about about my gut feel level. (all imo dyor etc) | pugugly
16/2/2016 12:57 | Pity that the price is drifting as it is but not too unusual given the general market sentiment.I think the company has to make an announcement on the new plant fairly soon or I would expect they stand to lose the preferred site. The decision though is very much tied to how they plan to finance the project and inevitably requires one or more of these automotive contracts to be finalised at around the same time.I believe they are working hard on this and are keen as anyone to be operating from a much larger manufacturing base. David Bundred is experienced at finessing these kinds of situations so I expect the company to look much more substantial in 12 months time. A share placing at/around 20 to 25p is what I expect; with the bulk of funding coming through a mixture of grants and bank loans. | longshanks
15/2/2016 15:25 | the problem is that they have stated that the new plant decision is needed in Q1 so they are ready for the ramp in production in 2018..but German OEM1 wants this 6 month optimisation before announcing the contract which takes us to July/August (Q3)..so unless SCE have changed this plan they must announce the new plant (with grant) before a major contract..or so it seems to me..although maybe they could announce GB1 at the same time?..they said this year which is rather vague | stu31
15/2/2016 11:39 | Would'nt be surprised to see the two come together. | regandharry5
15/2/2016 10:11 | You would think they would want to announce a new multi million pound contract before doing the placing. In which case the price could be an awful lot higher than 13p! | mjcrockett
15/2/2016 10:07 | Price will move towards whatever the next placing price is.(IMO) Given increased clarity on the future of the company would expect this to be in excess of the 13p price last time, but small shareholders will be the last to know. | drw1
15/2/2016 09:59 | I hope this weakness is nothing specific ? Few trades, but disappointing to be well below 20p. Anyone any ideas ? | graham1ty
12/2/2016 07:26 | GOLDMAN....Yes ,these are complete builds of Suopercars, so I can't see them doing this without mentioning which brakes are being fitted. After all it is just as important to know what makes it stop, as well as knowing what make it go fast . | regandharry5 |
