This looks an interesting float - imports of branded fast moving consumable goods (batteries, LED, sports nutrition supplements, branded household goods etc) and also built the 88vape brand which has an impressive market share. Sells at the value end.
Sandy Singh Chadha has built this company from his Dad's business. He fits the description of being an 'intelligent fanatic iconoclast' using Ian Cassel speak!
The business has some similarities with UPGS in terms of style etc.
He's sold a chunk but maintains control. It tried to list a couple of years ago, but didn't succeed.... maybe because of Brexit market conditions.
Employee incentive is to build this into a £1bn company by the fifth anniversary of the IPO. So that's a clear ambition buried within the AIM listing document.
Slater Investments have taken 5% which is a good sign as have BlackRock, Miton etc. Market cap c£175m and the founder still owns nearly 57%.
High growth and highly profitable.
Couldn't see any obvious red flags. Importantly, no private equity exit like some of the ramped IPOs at the moment. It's been listed to achieve its growth ambitions and raise its profile which makes sense for the owner and his employees.
Just taken a small initial holding. Its already 15% up on the placing price, but looks a good long-term holding.
Any thoughts? As always, please do your own research.
