12/5/2009 09:39 | Er...Montantaro actually sold 380k odd shares. Not a new buyer. | patersdw
11/5/2009 22:56 | Edited for error . . . | cufes2
11/5/2009 18:42 | Nice days work :-) CR | cockneyrebel
11/5/2009 16:38 | Up 20% today; I'll take that. | spectoacc
11/5/2009 16:10 | Surprised there wasn't more buying interest following the weekend tip. In a bull market like we are having you would have thought a few more chequebooks would have been open. Only had around £160k worth of trades. Would have liked a bit more volume to clear out any other weak holders. Sure it will come all good in the end though. | nickcduk
11/5/2009 15:19 | Spgh looking good on the weekend tips :-) CR | cockneyrebel
11/5/2009 11:40 | Can you go and ramp SPGH on the TTG boards please? | cufes2
11/5/2009 08:35 | TTG - looks like the seller is done and it is moving now | gumarabic
11/5/2009 08:22 | nice start! | cyberbub
11/5/2009 00:31 | I see no reason why we shouldn't get to 60p short term, we were stable at that price last summer before the sh*t hit the fan in the wider markets, and the picture in terms of earnings is largely unchanged here. £1 may take a little longer, but as I got in at 22p I will be pleased with 60p!! DYOR | cyberbub
10/5/2009 19:01 | No resistance till 65p. I think these are going up 15-20p pretty short term, even if obly to make the yield sensible. If yu tale into account PE and the business guaranteed from the gov these are worth a lot more imo. Only down here due to D.Bank selling but looks thike they are done and gone now imo. 10/5/2009 12:46 | Good that there IS a low-carbon aspect to bottle recycling into rockwool insulation.. ! I have a bag of chardonnay bottles to go to the bank today. | hectorp
09/5/2009 21:10 | CR as i posted before, am more than happy to keep supplying them. Blueliner 29 Apr'09 - 19:51 - 238 of 308 edit 'Superglass is continuing to refine its fibreglass product in an effort to cut costs. It has moved from using a mix of plate glass and recycled bottles to using only recycled glass,. This saves it £250,000 a year as the company benefits from selling on the packaging reclamation notes that reward recycling.' Always thought I was doing something useful filling those bottle banks up.' | blueliner
09/5/2009 19:59 | If your last sentence proves true, we have at least 50-60% upside from here in coming months. It appears very probable to me. | hectorp
09/5/2009 16:22 | yep, also says about the fibreglass being made from cheaper bottle glass from plate glass, lower energy costs and lower interest charges. If you say sales in H2 rise by 17% over H1, lower glass and energy costs push up margins and £1m off debt in H2 trims interest a bit too then it's easy to see a 30% increase in eps in H2 over H1, perhaps a fair bit more. That would give 8p eps as a pretty conservative estimate compared to the 7.3p broker forecasts. I guess brokers have skimmed a good 10% off the forecasts to leave a bit of room for SPGH to beat estimates? 8p eps equates to a PE of just over 4 and a 10% yield. That's very cheap imo, especially when you think these were 230p just 18 months ago. CR | cockneyrebel
09/5/2009 14:19 | Interesting SCSW article. Says H2 volumes are expected at 27,000t versus 23,000t in H1 Expects 7p EPS forecast to be beaten. | topvest
09/5/2009 11:05 | Sorry CR just read your post about the buy tip today. Excellent news and much appreciated. Its very significant to see 'stronger second half' in the tip and from the company. It reassures about the dividend also. | hectorp
09/5/2009 11:03 | Re my last post above .. Warmcell ( made from paper waste) for lofts etc, but I've seen illustrations of their product in a loft and it doesn't look good. | hectorp
09/5/2009 10:45 | Why is there a missing 5m daleside? Your assuption is that D.Bank are selling the whole lot down here. You can wait to buy a stock forever trying to guess when a seller will turn up again. SCSW tip it today and say "The only reason it remains close to the price that it was in January despite a 10%+ dividend (2.1x covered by earnings) is because of selling down by Deutsche Bank of its holding. That has been placed and meanwhile the shares sit on a PE of 4.5.. SCSW say BUY and that ther co will have a stronger second half too for various reasons - I won't post all they say here as that would be wrong but I think these will be bought up on Monday. CR | cockneyrebel
09/5/2009 10:31 | Huge article ( the whole money section ) in the Guardian today. THey conclude that loft insulation is a great thing to do, of course. But they also mention alternaltive LOW CARBON stuff, based on wool or some such waste. I have not seen this product, but it will attract the more middle class Guardian eco reader type. ( not really me, is my wife who buys it). I can't see it taking more than 10% of the market. But worth knowing its there. | hectorp
08/5/2009 14:13 | MAybe whoever has the 'missing shares' wants to hold them for the same reasons we do. They will probably dripfeed them at some point, but why hurry? | hectorp
08/5/2009 14:12 | cyberbub - many thanks! | hectorp
08/5/2009 11:13 | CR My final attempt at banging my head against a brick wall. - I am extremely postive about this company; it's a good recovery stock. The shares are strongly held by management so their interests coincide with investors. But it's got a very small free float. The price is going up because there are a small number of PI's, and they aren't particularly interested in selling. Brewin are doing a fine job selling into a rising market, but at some stage the overhang will come on to the market. If Brewins haven't got the missing 5m shares who has? | dalesiders |
