22/3/2017 20:46 | Add on weakness CC? Complete madness to add at this point in time. Every chance you will do your money here. I hope I'm wrong. | kingivor
22/3/2017 19:59 | I am not convinced funding is a pressing issue at this point in time. If it was, a rights issue would be the 'right' thing to do to give long suffering lth's the opportunity to average down. There is a great deal of stored value in the Altintepe jv mining project that should by now be chucking off cash and changing the financial fortune of this company. I personally believe that the cash blockage will be resolved quite soon. Meanwhile, much as I understand some peoples' reluctance to invest, the money the company is legally entitled to is in the jv bank account awaiting the decisive day. Consequently my perception of risk is such that I am prepared to not only hold, but add on weakness. | charles clore
22/3/2017 19:29 | The longer the holding company continues to not pay Stratex the weaker their case, it stands to reason. Already Bahar Madencilik have taken $45m in gold sales to end December, by now that has probably increased to $55m. The contract mining cash cost based on the stated $450 per oz equals about $15m, add extras of $5m. That leaves a annual profit of $25m to end December, probably in excess of $30m by now. There is NO WAY they can claim the mine is not 'profitable' even allowing for a new drill programme and future planning it would only come a small fraction of the already established profit of circa $30m. Recent cash raises by the likes of Thor, Goldstone, Ariana, etc proves a pretty extensive drill programme only costs $1m-$2m, closure costs (years away) for a small open pit mine like Altintepe would only be $2m-$3m One can clearly see why Stratex are so frustrated and rightly so, my estimation is Stratex are owed something like $5m to $6m right now. I will be adding to my position shortly. | tadtech
22/3/2017 18:00 | It's a real shame that it has come to this. No one in their right mind is going to buy this until fresh equity is placed. | kingivor
22/3/2017 17:55 | Understandable many are miserable, have held this shower now for over two years and it has all been very disappointing to say the least. | novicetrade68
22/3/2017 17:45 | I think they're going to issue just over a Billion shares at a 97% discount to the price over the preceding 5 days.So many stale long term holders here beating themselves up over buying at too high prices...Possible the board with the highest number of miserable souls around! | shortarm
22/3/2017 17:33 | But what makes you think they need this relatively high sum of money ? To chase new rainbows ? | novicetrade68
22/3/2017 17:12 | Sorry to say but a lot of lth's are going to get turned over at the upcoming placing. I would think they will look to raise 50% of MC or about £3.5 m. | kingivor
22/3/2017 14:56 | No value if STI cant get their share . | juju44
22/3/2017 14:48 | £7.24m market cap is almost begging for a buyout now. Estimated locked in value at Altintepe anyone? | charles clore
22/3/2017 14:45 | R - a jv financial update yes, and a good one at that. | charles clore
22/3/2017 14:22 | I expect it would require some involvement from a partner. I am not particularly surprised by the quiet from there as they had a good run of news recently and it will take time for them to move forward. It is entirely possible that they are as eager for an update from Stratex as we are. | romeike
22/3/2017 14:16 | I find it strange that Goldstone have gone quiet. I really do wonder what is going on there and why their assets seem so appealing to Stratex and a couple of other AIM companies that include Metal Tiger. The only repetitive statement that keeps coming from all and sundry is that the land is close to the world class Obuasi mine which is currently closed. There has, however, been a purge on the illegal miners recently and I am wondering if it will open again but by whom? | tadtech
22/3/2017 14:15 | More like people just using their capital gains tax allowance ahead of end if tax year | romeike
22/3/2017 13:52 | looks like bad news leaking . Those in the know dumping | juju44
22/3/2017 13:50 | Not sure why they bring it down to 1.65 now because at that price you can't buy anything... | novicetrade68
22/3/2017 13:45 | Smells like a dying dog here now | juju44
22/3/2017 13:39 | Can buy 500k in one go now, so could be a seller around. But then it could easily jump 10%-15% on low volume too. | novicetrade68
22/3/2017 10:49 | Be nice if someone bought a share to cheer up the graveyard | juju44
22/3/2017 09:49 | The low grade long intervals are much more promising than the high grade shoots. But a lot of work still required to show commerciality. | sicilian_kan
22/3/2017 09:40 | dd, if you are right then Stratex need to do a lot more in their presentation of results. Today's announcement seemed quite bland and balanced to me which is not the usual style of an exploration company (or junior miner) looking for money. | blobby
22/3/2017 09:30 | I think you're all missing the point. The value of the results is if they can help get a placing away, and judging from the reaction today, they haven't. In a few months Stratex may not have enough cash to buy a round of Pot Noodles. Whether the Bahar situation is sorted or not, I think they have to go for a raising now. In fact I felt they should go for a raising even if the Bahar cheque arrives, as it will do little more than cover this year's admin costs. If they want to keep supporting GRL and ThaniStratex, plus one of their own projects, they need a couple of million above the Bahar money to do it IMO. | danieldruff2
22/3/2017 09:29 | It's up to each individual to interpret the results as they so wish but to me results so far have demonstrated some long intervals of gold, some bonanza grades over short intervals and also muti-layered zones consistent with what was discovered at Sukari. There is much more information on Anbat on the TS website for those wanting a more contextual overview. Today's results not actually on the TS site yet so STI have actually been good at releasing news on this occasion. | exbiz
22/3/2017 09:24 | Shortarm, thanks for reminding us of those. Can you confirm they are all previously announced results from Anbat? The first three on the list are the same hole? hxxp://thanistratex. It does look good I agree, but I need someone to convince me that today's results make a difference. | blobby |
