17/1/2012 16:29 | If this is a real contract company should say so and state sales value.Otherwise meaningless spin and damages shareholder interests. Please tell me when what i have said has been incorrect and not in the interests of all shareholders not self seekers.Too often markets have been misled by boards only for it all to fall apart.worthington group, dellar, tanfiel | ![]() charo
17/1/2012 16:24 | charo "RNSNON" means its is Non Regulatory. UKREG are proper regulatory RNS Do read them properly. YPO is an E Procurement site where Local Authorities can purchase all their goods from pencils through to machinery at one site at the same prices as every other Authority. All the Government depts are going to use this method. Your research should have told you this!!! | ![]() kenatbabken
17/1/2012 14:47 | Proper ray of sunshine aren't you charo. You constantly look to knock everything the company does. Why are you here? | ![]() sg31
17/1/2012 14:31 | after researching the announcement it is clear that there is no guaranteed sales merely an invitation to tender.the worth to straight could be anything from zero to any figure you like over 4 years.as no sales have actualy been contracted for how can such a statement be allowed.this is puffery of the worst kind and does not merit the authority of an RNS. | ![]() charo

22/12/2011 12:03 | Picked a few up here recently. A tuck-away and see how it goes. Some risk but the mkt cap of the whole group is less than £4m so they could do very well....or not. f | ![]() fillipe
21/12/2011 13:31 | sorry think i misunderstood your remarks on lse and plu as referring to me posting on those sites. my point was how can shares be sold on those platforms at prices well below advfn quoted prices. i was told later that advfn unless you subscribe for premium levels giving access to those trading platforms you dont see all trades.doesnt quite answer point.as to lse at around 2pm yesterday ft quote was 23.5p. i like to know as how can i trade effectively otherwise.again told that proliferation of platforms including plus chi-x turquoise means not always easy . | ![]() charo
21/12/2011 13:20 | what about problems in mnftng, cash, missed divs, stt and coral are biggest players with somewhat different offerings, indeed i would suggest they need each other in that arena.in terms of activity recycling is around the smallest sector for coral whose stated intention is to grow the non media side quickly ,hence interpack .this acquisition further reduces media but also recycling.the market requires more than one player of significance and coral and straight bring needed quality and competition.i dont have access to plus so cant comment on that market. | ![]() charo
21/12/2011 13:04 | Charo Of course you have a vested interest in the demise of STT with your investment in CRU,Would you not hope that CRU might pick up contracts. How can anyone not invested in a company and push for change and what was posting the trades on LSE and PLUS all about,Anyone with experience knows that profit warnings usually come in threes so you.re not breaking any moulds of investing | ![]() kenatbabken
21/12/2011 11:27 | kenatbabken see my comments from 24mar 2011 on stt and follow my posts have i been wrong in my posts,i early on predicted manufacturing probs i suggested cash difficulties and passing of div.indeed i predicted further bad news after the positive interims.it is all in the numbers.incidentally i slated the tandem board and the mrx board for their actions.see posts. my investment strategy is to push for change where i see it needed.boards are too often happy to draw their fees and salary whilst shareholders get stuffed.stt share now down 85%from peak . | ![]() charo
21/12/2011 11:10 | i own shares in coral and a number of other small co shares mrx avanti jaque vert tandem as well as holdings in blue chips .my interest is as a shareholder in general.my comments are based on research and experience not knocking for knocking.why does it benefit coral for straight to go down in value.coral is an acknowledged turnround situation and as such is not for risk averse traders.but such situations can be rewarding,or not.time will tell.straight is a classic hubristic situation.it may well be approaching a level were it appeals on a turnround basis but for reasons stated in previous posts unlikely .read my posts over the months on this and other, including tanfield and hopefully take it the comments are meant to help investors not management. | ![]() charo
21/12/2011 10:19 | Charo I can understand your negativity as there are,nt many positives at the moment but have you ever owned shares in STT or is the motive behind your posts because you own shares in Coral Products who have entered the recycling market and are a Straight competitor,A company by the way that last made a profit in 2004 of £4k and have since racked up losses of around £6m | ![]() kenatbabken
21/12/2011 09:49 | charo - 21 Dec'11 - 09:17 - 804 of 804 js lacks the management skills to deal with the more complex animal that is the straight of today. That's the key point. Used to hold some time ago but sold because I was concerned about that very issue. | ![]() bluebelle
21/12/2011 09:17 | the cash generation is false strip`out excess inventory,ie write down, and the increase,unsustainab | ![]() charo
20/12/2011 21:07 | Not an unexpected further profit warning today. Does look tempting, but will await the year end audited results before being tempted back in. Best to get back in a little too late than too early imo as must be a chance this will go bust if things don't improve. | ![]() topvest
20/12/2011 18:35 | Current share price implies that the end is nigh for this cash generative business - this is ridiculous! Evident problems with manufacturer acquired resulted in shut down for entire month of August (this isn't France!) and huge amount of restructuring. Debt is being paid down and plenty of headroom. Share price is getting close to Dec 2008 distressed levels when they are now in much much better shape. New note at www.investorschampio | ![]() energeticbacker

20/12/2011 10:39 | second half sales must be well down ,as were ahead at interim.look for high inventory in effort to hide losses.my numbers suggest a loss before tax and before goodwill write downs close to 1.5 million.this cash loss will exacerbate already strained cash and almost certain creditor loss of confidence.bank will be monitoring closely.if fails to improve in first half of 2012 will be dead. | ![]() charo
20/12/2011 10:27 | most of the trades are down in plus so we have an incomplete picture on aim. | ![]() charo
20/12/2011 10:06 | in interim chief exec said expected a much improved second half,he was either delusional or incompetent.the statement was predictable see my post 792.the conundrum now for auditors is what to maake of the carrying value of the dud investments.it is not possible for these to make a sensible return on the carrying values and they need to be written down sooner rather than later.chairman has to stand up to mr straight.at this level the company is valued on a close down basis.no take over potential with the ceo having a virtual controlling stake. | ![]() charo
20/12/2011 10:02 | Please change headline to DOWN - Today's rns not good news. | ![]() pugugly |
