29/7/2011 20:35 | Looks like my assessment above was spot on - it's what they didn't say at the results announcement that gave the game away a little...and later confirmed by the trading update. Trouble is if this is all going pear shaped, they now have debt and less flexibility. One to stay clear of at the moment imo, as has to be a ? over H2 turnaround. | topvest
09/5/2011 07:41 | Decided to take profits here after reading the annual report. Didn't like the forward outlook statement and the increased gearing + deferred consideration etc. Still a good company, but will see how things go before getting back in as I think the downside risk exceeds the upside at the current time. Key concern is the difficult municipal sector - what impact are the council cut-backs having? | topvest
28/3/2011 20:49 | All quiet here - their strategy looks to be working well as gross margins are much improved, with more to come in 2011. This is a very entrepeneurial and exciting company imo. Mr Straight has great flare and vision...although a rather suspect moustache style!! | topvest

28/3/2011 07:37 | Yes, solid enough results with nice rise in the dividend. | topvest
28/3/2011 06:49 | kenakbabken And results also ahead of the in-house brokers forecast of an eps of 11.64p. I'm now looking for a "green" forward P/E of 9 on a broker forecast upgrade to 15p+ for FY2011. | electronica
28/3/2011 06:26 | Good set of results with increases in all figures especially margins Now trading on a historic PE of 8 | kenatbabken

24/3/2011 11:48 | problems just beginning manufacturing margins under severe cost pressure. | charo
23/3/2011 18:15 | This is a pretty miserable performer ahead of the figures. Not much volume published tho | labatie
14/3/2011 18:58 | Recent poor performance continues. | jeanesy
02/2/2011 14:24 | Here is the answer from Jim Mellor on this issue although I acknowledge that it does not fully answer your question. "Thank you for your note. Our broker, Cenkos, increased the forecast for the Group for 2010 (the previous forecast was from Panmure Gordon, our brokers until last summer) following the interims on 6 September last year. It is this later forecast which is referred to in the trading statement issued on Monday. " | titeuf_int
01/2/2011 08:54 | The interim statement said that the board was 'confident that second half trading would exceed expectations'. The update said that results would be 'in line with market expectations'. Are they simply being cautious here or should we read any more into it? Were expectations raised after the interims? | labatie
27/1/2011 10:36 | RNS on monday morning. got the confirmation from Jim Mellor. See you all on Monday. | titeuf_int
23/1/2011 19:50 | We should get a trading update this week according to my previous talk with the CFO of the company. Interesting to see that consensus numbers are at 12 p eps for this year. We had already 6.5 p in H1 and production of proprietary products was still quite low so i would expect H2 to be equal at least. Also worth pointing out that the group made lots of cheap acquisitions in the recent months which should enhance significantly earnings and margins. Dyro was purchased for only 3x earnings. In 2009 Dyro declared a pre-tax profit of £1.12 million on a turnover of £10 million. ADD this to the profit of the company and you will get much more than the 12p of consensus .... If taking into account consensus number, the stock is trading at roughly less than 10x trailing PE which is good value compared to other aim stocks. Did the management not mention that he was confident of beating expectations in September ?? LAst but not least, the volatility of the stock is quite low which makes it an almost riskless bet. | titeuf_int
18/1/2011 18:18 | Where does this leave current investors? | jeanesy
15/1/2011 17:48 | He certainly does look odd, but he knows how to build a business. Watch this space! | topvest

28/11/2010 11:55 | Enviro, yes i think you are right but I am not sure that they want to do it now as the share price has not done anything and they might want to wait for higher prices. | titeuf_int |
