17/5/2013 22:29 | ladys of the night and booze ? who knows ? | puffin1
17/5/2013 21:44 | 2 things of interest, would like to hear some views; could the russians be interested at takeover at current mk cap - cash in bank value and then sell all the other interests for 10m and make an easy profit? second point, the expenses in the last set of accounts increased over previous years, what are they spending the money on? | louish
15/5/2013 20:09 | Let's hope this does mean there is a plan as presumably this Shareholder who now has over 11% increasing 1% from last month does not just want to sit and watch paint dry. Perhaps one of the Directors had to emerge from hibernation, remember where the expensive London office was and approve the RNS. Having surfaced perhaps he would like to wake the rest of the Board up and DO SOMETHING with all our money that they are just using to pay their large unearned salaries. The whole oil industry is converging on Kurdistan and they have walked away.Surely they must have a plan????? | 888icb
15/5/2013 16:48 | RNS out. Soyuz have increased their holding. Now what can be the game plan? | devil20
10/5/2013 11:05 | puffin. I didn't think it was ABs style to just take his salary for doing nowt. They must have something in mind....be nice to know WHAT! | devil20
10/5/2013 11:00 | But they are getting payed very well for WHAT ? answers please from the BOARD !! | puffin1
09/5/2013 11:03 | Now that Sangaw is out of the equation the BoD are going to have to come up with something really good to get the share price moving again. It's pointless them just plodding along with what they have. | devil20
09/5/2013 11:03 | aka cash value! | donaferentes
09/5/2013 10:53 | Hmm, we seem to be bouncing along the historical low point of 35p. | septimus quaid
07/5/2013 15:26 | Hope this helps....... In November 2011 Sterling completed a farm-out agreement with Murphy Cameroon Ntem Oil Co. Ltd (Murphy Oil), a wholly owned subsidiary of Murphy Oil Corporation under which Murphy was assigned a 50% working interest in, and operatorship of, the Ntem concession. Sterling retains a 50% non-operated working interest. As consideration, Murphy paid to Sterling a contribution towards past costs and is committed to fully fund joint operations in relation to the current phase of exploration. | 7stock
07/5/2013 13:47 | 7Stock - what is SEY's interest/share of revenues/costs for each well, do you know? TIA | donaferentes
07/5/2013 00:41 | B The Elombo deepwater well will spud in early July. And the Ntem well is slated to spud near year-end, subject to final government approvals and rig timing. These 2 prospects have predrilled gross estimates in the range of 300 million barrels and 600 million barrels, respectively.t | 7stock
01/5/2013 18:26 | I have already suggested to the SEY BOD that they would be better off investing the money instead of sitting on their thumbs drawing a salary, but no response. Tom Cross amd PMG still hold 3% of FPM and they don't have a montain of cash. | clunes100
01/5/2013 10:52 | SEY Could do with buying some shares in gkp and make some money back from the loss from sangaw | stany6
15/4/2013 00:22 | They could do a lot better than team up with their old mucker from Emerald days, John Wardle, and farm in to Amerisur's incipient operations in Paraguay. Alastair Beardsall and Angus MacAskill are old Colombia hands and, together with John Wardle, made us all a packet at Emerald. All these African interests look a lot too slow for old men (me and them!) | donaferentes
14/4/2013 19:18 | If you google soyuz------,I think they're Russia's biggest rig owner (from memory) | serratia
14/4/2013 18:50 | hi folks see the russian lot have bought some more shares , does anybody know what these people actually do - what there core buisness actually is and why they are buying up alot of SEY shares - thanks alot to anybody that can shed more light on the russians than i have been able to find -- | xiggly
13/4/2013 19:08 | my view is that when AB took the job he would have had to demonstrate some kind of strategy going forward that impressed the board and major investors, and they would have had to demonstrate their support of him if he took the job. These things take time and SEY has a lot of assets spanning the globe all potentially ripening out of the blue, so i suspect that the board are playing a prudent and cautious game while waiting for the right opportunity to come. we all know that SEY does have a producing asset, they also have many long term assets to look forward to, but i suppose they have no real near term assets to concentrate on currently for investors to get excited about thank to the failure of Sangaw... with a hundred million dollars in the bank and full investor backing i expect a major near term low risk project will be forthcoming in due course. | excellance
12/4/2013 14:30 | Well(excuse the pun) they seem to be holding their own. NEW VENTURES highlighted. Perhaps we'll hear something soon. | devil20 |
