ashkv - E&P a disaster area at the moment due to windfall tax and idiotic Net Zero nonsense. It will all end in tears eventually at which point oil and gas prices will go through the roof, but that does not look imminent.

It has absolute zero sentiment behind it as people think they will sell the oil and gas assets and waste all the money on daft geothermal projects (for which they have provided no economic analysis to shareholders). However, it is stupidly cheap in my opinion and has hugely useful tax losses. It would make a great purchase for a company like the one that bought Egdon Resources. I am holding on for somebody to realise the hidden value and will top up if it gets down to 8p or below. It is a sitting duck.

Kubera Croatia Geothermal well results due next week start onwards... Hopefully that is the catalyst.

Sandgrove nearing end of their announced exit - big drop in Sandgrove's STAR holding per the below holding RNS.

Hopefully the fund is out soon and new investors step-in. Share price is dire and Price to Book at near all time lows of 0.20!!!

Take a look at the pedigree and background of the STAR ENERGY team.... Looking forward to the Share Price moving up towards 50p and beyond in the not so distant.
Certainly seems one of the best stocks to be invested in for many multiple returns on your investment.....

the balance sheet actually shows £143 million in total assets, with £84 million in total liabilities -

(should be noted that £60 million of the liabilities are the decommissioning provisions i.e the total cost expected to return each and every well site back to its natural state, as close to the way it looked before they even started)

the reality is that they probably incur about £3 million a year in decom costs, so the £60m figure is just the total expected amount to be spent, probably over a 20 year period or thereabouts.

The above gives a figure of £59m for net assets, after all liabilities removed. Without even considering revenues, profits in the future, the stock should at least trade at the net asset value, which is 5 x the current share price - i.e 45-50p
