LOL! What I meant, CR, is that all my other share certs say "plc" whereas the SGI one says only "Limited", not "plc".

Up day today?

plc is a PUBLIC 'LIMITED' COMPANY.

Just noticed that my share certs for SGI say Stanley Gibbons Group Limited, rather than Plc. I thought the general public couldn't buy shares in a limited company. Furthermore, they are registered in Jersey.

Looks like Mms are quite happy to absorb all those small sells and a few largish ones...assuming they are sells.Come 27feb these will be trading on 04 pe of 10-11 with great eps growth to boot. It beats me why anyone would want to sell at current levels given that the growth story is only starting to emerge.Look for brokers upgrades for this year once the results are out!

I think the point is that you are investing in two stocks by buying SGI. Of course PRVD is secondary but it is still a potential multi bagger ..... and the market likes nice suprises like finding a company has a decent investment made at a fraction of cost.

All those buys being soaked up and the price raised - 25K buy through earlier.

The pure lack of selling tells you something about investor confidence in these going much higher imo.

Still selling this Monday morning at 1p above the official sell price which means it looks good for a nice start to the week.

Forrester Research, Inc. finds that a growing online consumer base and efforts by online retailers to optimize online shopping experiences will spark significant growth in the industry over the next five years.

The report also states that, although offline retail sales continue to struggle, e-commerce sales will increase at a steady 19 percent year-over-year growth rate, rising to $229.0 billion in 2008 from $95.7 billion in 2003.

Forrester projects the most dramatic growth will be seen in the food and beverage category, with sales increasing to $17.4 billion from $3.7 billion over the next five years.

PRVD should do reasonably well if these projections are realistic.

Yep, CR, IDN looks interesting, telecoms seem to be in fashion at the moment, less than twice sales; but if IND had the same market cap as IDN, it would be over 2 quid! With that and BPRG, I'm happy with my "risk portfolio", for now. As ever, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time... ;-)

SGI does look good, but I don't like chasing ships too far out, and therefore it's just one of those that I think I'll pass on, for now. Not that I don't think that it won't go up further, but that on a historic PE in the high teens or possibly low twenties by results time (assuming about 3.6p EPS), I think it comes down to whether you think the market will 'buy' the 70% growth for next year. Most here obviously do, but I'm not so convinced. However, I can buy the "SGI at a quid this year" scenario without too much scepticism.

Anyway, I'm not here to whinge, but just to wish you all good luck (again), and this remains on my watch list. :0)
