06/9/2017 06:34 | I read the drop as concern over the debt position but that seemed primarily working capital expansion and so less of an immediate concern. | hutch_pod
05/9/2017 22:45 | What do we make of the half year report? Seemed solid enough for me, not sure the drop is warranted. Thoughts? | texas_caddy
03/9/2017 16:39 | Looks to be a decent purchase, not expensive at all. | owenski

22/7/2017 09:48 | The above is not directly connected to SDM as a project but contains an example of robotics that uses an SBC which SDM are involved in producing. The SBC used in the above example is a Raspberry PI which SDM has a meaningful involvement in production of these items. SBC's are an area of growth for SDM, primarily via IoT projects, they form 'cheap' CPU's for an infinite variety of system operations and control. SDM is involved in project design for an area that has high growth via it's SBC vertical and has a growing customer base. • SBCs are considered as Internet of Things (IoT) hardware products • Rising demand across the IoT sector • Capable of performing real world activities - example provided in above link with the help of embedded sensors • Specific features • Cost • Robustness • Modularity • Standardisation Regards | owenski
10/5/2017 08:01 | new highs. | qs99
04/5/2017 15:14 | I also attended the event. my "concern" was why did they need 3 design centres ? It was the realisation that much of their business is low-volume customer-specific rather than high volume off-the shelf stuff. Four of their managers are ex Laird, which has collapsed precisely because they chased volume. Spoke to one guy after and was assured they can switch production around their sites when necessary if they do get a biggish order.. Topped up and very happy to hold for 2-3 years. | puku
04/5/2017 14:25 | moving along nicely it would seem gla | qs99

27/4/2017 12:37 | owenski and ee, thanks for the feedback. I was unable to attend but your opinions add significant value to the available material on the web site. This is one of my longer term holdings and it's good to see material progress being made. | alter ego
27/4/2017 09:57 | owenski, Good post of yours above and it was a pleasure to meet you too. You are right. Some people may not have attended yesterday as it was known the event would be recorded. Getting the whole management team in one place for an event takes a lot of time and effort. I can only guess that there will be a capital raise at some stage and a showcase event such as this has been held to get institutions in place. The shares are pretty illiquid, and I can't see how institutions can otherwise obtain a meaningful stake. From a chart point of view the share price may look extended, but in my view, the prospective PER x10 suggests this has been more a recovery from the autumn sell-off, rather than an over extended run-up on a fancy rating. Thank you to everyone at Stadium and Walbrook for organising such a worthwhile event. | eagle eye
27/4/2017 09:17 | Good to meet you yesterday Eagle Eye. Not surprised to see the share price moving up. | owenski
27/4/2017 09:15 | Well worth attending the SDM investor event yesterday. Good to meet the CEO and listen to the presentation, also good to meet with the various heads of operations and get the measure of them. SDM have a credible strategy and road map of where they are going, acquisitions will form part of that, but they are carefully chosen according to SDM's requirements to strengthen strategic operation and directions. An interesting team at work here, highly experienced in their fields, who for the most part know each other and so fit in well, great clarity about what they are doing and how to execute, some top calibre industry seasoned folk are running this company. They are looking to open an office in North America, not for the sake of it, but because they are being courted to run projects over there, however, a requirement is to have a support structure in place in the country to secure these contracts. Their IoT exposure looks to be a high growth area for them and they are clear minded in how to leverage this. Interesting times ahead for SDM, the presentations and networking post event seems to have been well received by the feed back I got from the analysts I spoke with. Glad I went. I wouldn't have gleaned a lot of detailed info about Stadium from just watching the presentation listed on the company website, speaking one to one with the heads of departments was priceless. All IMO | owenski
27/4/2017 09:04 | A good number of people attended yesterday's investor event. It was identical to the 'Capital Market Day' event presented in the morning to institutions. The full management team presented and I got the impression the new team aren't here to tread water. The PowerPoint presentation of the event can be found here: I was told a recording of the event will be on the website in due course. | eagle eye
26/4/2017 07:07 | Encouraging the strong order book has continued to grow, took a small position a few days ago at 113, only concern was last year's profit warning, always a nagging doubt. | spoole5
