Posted at 15/2/2018 15:39 by lammylover I can understand people selling now at 119.5p and guaranteeing this price, plus put capital to other use. What I can't understand is someone has paid 120.8p. Bizarre unless they believe there will be a higher offer.. |
Posted at 15/2/2018 15:35 by lammylover I paid 105p in Dec 2015. 120p plus dividends I have received over 2 years gives me 20% return on my investment. Not bad for just over 2 years, but I hoped for a higher share price by now. We know the share price regularly stood between 120 and 130p for ages during this period, until reduced profits recently. I just think if they could have got profits back on track with increased export sales in USA, this would have achieved 120p on its own merits. Believe its a bargain for the buyer as its a specialist company operating globally. Hope someone else thinks its a bargain at 120p.. |
Posted at 15/2/2018 07:41 by lammylover Pleased that we have received offer of 120p and also the 2.1p/share dividend thrown in. If I'm honest though I would have hoped for 130p+, if Stadium is recovering and new sales base in US takes off...Seems undervalued based on potential. Rich |
Posted at 15/2/2018 07:28 by spud Yup happy enough with that. Interesting that the 120p offer exactly matches the IC price target. I guess a stopped clock is correct at least twice a day....spud |
Posted at 14/1/2018 20:39 by waspfactory Tipped in this weeks Investors Chronicle which is usually the kiss of death :)From what I gather, furtively skimming it in WH Smith, they think SDM is a good recovery play to 120p. |
Posted at 08/11/2017 21:07 by aishah No target price. A setback for sure. I don't panic sell and no need here imo. There are plenty in my portfolio to overcome this. Techinvest have delivered many baggers over the years for me. I continue to subscribe. |
Posted at 08/11/2017 20:48 by pugugly AISHAH: Agreed low price to sales - I used to hold but sold back in 2013 - Possibly time to revisit. However quick seach suggests only housse broker N+1 Singer covers and no recent price targets -Did Tech Invest give a target ? |

Posted at 22/7/2017 09:48 by owenski The above is not directly connected to SDM as a project but contains an example of robotics that uses an SBC which SDM are involved in producing. The SBC used in the above example is a Raspberry PI which SDM has a meaningful involvement in production of these items. SBC's are an area of growth for SDM, primarily via IoT projects, they form 'cheap' CPU's for an infinite variety of system operations and control. SDM is involved in project design for an area that has high growth via it's SBC vertical and has a growing customer base. • SBCs are considered as Internet of Things (IoT) hardware products • Rising demand across the IoT sector • Capable of performing real world activities - example provided in above link with the help of embedded sensors • Specific features • Cost • Robustness • Modularity • Standardisation Regards |
Posted at 27/4/2017 09:15 by owenski Well worth attending the SDM investor event yesterday.Good to meet the CEO and listen to the presentation, also good to meet with the various heads of operations and get the measure of them. SDM have a credible strategy and road map of where they are going, acquisitions will form part of that, but they are carefully chosen according to SDM's requirements to strengthen strategic operation and directions. An interesting team at work here, highly experienced in their fields, who for the most part know each other and so fit in well, great clarity about what they are doing and how to execute, some top calibre industry seasoned folk are running this company. They are looking to open an office in North America, not for the sake of it, but because they are being courted to run projects over there, however, a requirement is to have a support structure in place in the country to secure these contracts. Their IoT exposure looks to be a high growth area for them and they are clear minded in how to leverage this. Interesting times ahead for SDM, the presentations and networking post event seems to have been well received by the feed back I got from the analysts I spoke with. Glad I went. I wouldn't have gleaned a lot of detailed info about Stadium from just watching the presentation listed on the company website, speaking one to one with the heads of departments was priceless. All IMO |
