04/1/2018 06:31 | A very solid update and future prospects are strong. Someone asked about the plan for Hot Maden a while ago. DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES AT HOT MADEN Lidya Madencilik San. ve Tic. A.?. (“Lidya Madencilik”) is continuing to advance the Hot Maden project located in northeast Turkey. Recent work has included mine design, metallurgical test work, geotechnical analysis, environmental studies and exploration drilling. This work is culminating in a Pre-Feasibility study which is on track to be released in the first half of 2018. Approximately 25,000 metres of infill and exploration drilling has been completed at Hot Maden during 2017. Recent drill highlights include: HTD-157: 28.0 metres of 47.5 g/t gold and 1.65% copper from 287.0 metres including, 7.0 metres of 97.6 g/t gold and 3.86% copper from 308.0 metres; HTD-159: 3.5 metres of 32.3 g/t gold and 0.87% copper from 165.5 metres and 4.0 metres of 7.4 g/t gold and 1.74% copper from 210.0 metres. 03/1/2018 23:59 | Very comprehensive and satisfactory news update released after trading closed tonight, well received by the after-hours traders by the look of it. Lots to like - enjoy the read. | shavian
29/12/2017 15:04 | Gold at $1300 ...gla SS | wisteria2
26/12/2017 16:32 | Gold trading opening further up after Christmas. Bodes well for SSL this week. Could the impending demise of Bitcoin have something to do with this? Aha - just in on Seeking Alpha: SAND features at No8 in the top 10 precious metal performers of 2017 with a gain of 29.2% A happy and prosperous 2018 to all Sandstormers. What great long-term prospects, I've put some into my kids' pension funds for 30+ years capital and interest appreciation! | shavian
23/12/2017 10:20 | SSL has not increased its revolving credit facility to $150m just for fun. Watch this space for more big deals early in 2018 imho Happy Christmas. Nadolig Llawen | shavian
22/12/2017 17:38 | Nice end to the week as well. | greenrichard
22/12/2017 17:30 | Short video from Sandstorm on the upside of the Endeavour deal: | jimbowen30
21/12/2017 15:07 | What's the timeline with Hot Maden. Are we expecting any drilling results or any other news? I think the PFS is expected Q1 2018 | greenrichard
21/12/2017 09:05 | Another very good deal with Endeavour - an established and well regarded mining company. There is plenty of exploration upside from this deal... | jimbowen30
14/12/2017 18:11 | Certainly is so far. Earlier concerns about a drop below 4 have receded. I'm in for the long term here having held mariana closely for ten years or more. Nolan Watson is impressive. | doolittle
14/12/2017 17:35 | Nice rise over the week. | greenrichard
11/12/2017 20:18 | Interesting I didn't know that Dooby. The GDX ETF has also had to buy a lot of Sandstorm shares back, so should support the price. It's ridiculously cheap at this level imo. | jimbowen30
11/12/2017 18:47 | I see Jim Rickards has just come out strongly recommending Sandstorm to private subscribers. I have a faint recollection that it isn't the first time? Can't do any harm. | doobydave
11/12/2017 14:45 | Good transcript of interview with Nolan Watson. Future continues to look very positive imo. | jimbowen30
01/12/2017 09:06 | What a clever transaction by Sandstorm. Mariana rides again! Parsons and Roth - top team. I look forward to following the fortunes of Spada/Awale | shavian
16/11/2017 20:25 | Benefits of royalty companies: "Sandstorm Gold, reporting higher operating cash flow of $11.9 million, has acquired as many as 10 separate royalties since the end of September on properties in Peru, Botswana and South Africa that collectively cover more than 2.4 million acres." | jimbowen30
14/11/2017 06:28 | link to Q3 results presentation: This chat with Nolan is also worth a listen: | jimbowen30
31/10/2017 07:30 | Shavian, Sandstorm will be a very good long term investment imo. Hot Maden provides a lot of optionality and so does the Entree gold deal in Mongolia. It's a long way off, but could provide a huge amount of gold for a small initial investment. Cobalt has excellent supply/demand dynamics. I am invested in Ardea Resources on the ASX as it's a cheaper play that CLQ, albeit it earlier stage. Have a look at slide 6 of the presentation below: | jimbowen30
30/10/2017 18:56 | Jimbo, et al The SSL website now has a link to their 2017 Asset Handbook - a really great bedtime read if you are feeling nerdy! Also Q3 figures coming out on 1 Nov. A great time to be a Sandstormer. However I'd love to have an update on what's going on at HM. Going OT for a moment if you'll forgive me. I've been chasing the energy storage story and love an Aussie mining and tech stock called Cleanteq, backed by Robert Friedland, with a NSW asset to supply Ni and Co to China, with a dose of Scandium thrown in. Worth a look imo. I hold a few. | shavian
26/10/2017 09:51 | Shavian, This looks a good deal for SSL. I actually bought a small amount of TREK last week as it looks massively undervalued for a near term gold producer, with big exploration upside and copper projects as a bonus. Have a look at some of the shareholders who funded the placing c$2. Ross Beaty is a mining legend and very smart guy, so glad SSL still has skin in the game. Regardless, SSL has a very bright future Imo.... | jimbowen30
25/10/2017 22:18 | Hot off the press tonight as the Canadian market closed. Sale of part of interest in Trek Mining for $18million, retaining royalties and NSRs in the various assets Aurizona in Brazil and the mill in Peru. Informed comment on the deal is awaited, but at first sight it looks like a good deal for SSL, following its stated policy of selling non-core assets. A bit odd in the light of acquiring another non-core asset, namely Mariana, not that I'm complaining about that, as a former MARL sheareholder! PS Just noticed what looks like a 2.5% rise to $4.50 in after-hours trading. Looking good for tomorrow | shavian |
