These are only figures to publish not reorganising the stores its all accounting and how to juggle about with the figures.

As an example does one write off a loss immediately or over a longer period. Is it going to be a clearing of the kitchen sink or just a few pots?

I think the 2 main issues with the delay, are the integration of HOF which hasn't gone well, also the perception of Grant Thornton as a credible auditor/accountant. Don't think the results themselves are going to be too bad..

debsdowner don't worry shares hammering up and Range Rover Disco is going to save the day.

Sports Direct reversed earlier losses to trade up after saying it still expects to release its full-year results by the end of the day. The retailer, whose shares slumped in early trading as it became clear that the results - already delayed once and scheduled to be released at the open - were nowhere to be seen. The company said in a statement that it was "still finalising" the preliminary results and expects that they will still be released on Friday, with another update due at midday.

Another delay from Sports Direct
We are currently still finalising our preliminary results and will update you again at 14:00, the company says in a statement.

The results - delayed from last week - had been expected at 07:00.
