Whenever the results come I wouldn't trust the numbers in any event there are lots of ways of juggling the figures. According to an analyst on the BBC minutes ago they didn't think numbers would be too bad.

Not sure if someone has already mentioned this recently but I was surprised to see Sports Direct continuing to purchase their own shares up to the 17 July after they had announced the first delay to publishing the results which forced the share price down.

I have been through this situation before company withholding their result and they didn't publish until after 4.30 , so the public could go through the results over the weekend . Thus minimising the fall in share price.

looks like they are juggling about with the figures to put a spin on things as House of Fraser knocked the group about somewhat.

Its not unusual for any company to have numerous sets of figure there are many accountancy ways of juggling figures around.

Doesn't look good in any event as the figures wont be trusted.

If you were working on the results of a small company, were late , then said they would be ready by this morning, then were late again , you would expect the sack , let alone such a massive company as this - shambles

This was on BBC ten minutes ago:A statement has arrived from Sports Direct."Unfortunately we are still finalising preliminary results.We anticipate that our annual results will be still be released today, with a presentation to follow, and will update again at midday.Apologies for any inconvenience."
