On Brexit I heard an EU minister saying that EU laws would apply to Britain during a two year transition, including the European Court of Justice. If Littlewoods took its Vat claim to the ECJ it would likely win before Brexit completes in three years time.I got the impression from the UK Supreme Court that EU courts would award compound interest.

Got the dividend yesterday so that's all ok. Would like some news on bids etc but they have indicated that January is the sharp end of the process.Useful to have the holding in NYX - who knows they may chose to distribute that cash too albeit a somewhat lesser sum!

The sale of NYX to Scientific Games now appears to be moving towards a peaceful approval vote on 20 December in Las Vegas.Another major shareholder has agreed the sale.

It was only eight weeks ago they hung up a For Sale sign (19 Oct). It seems a lot longer.If an offer is accepted by SPO shareholders it could still take many months to process. US regulators move slowly.It would probably be approved faster if a buyer already owns New Jersey licenses.

Nod's post 2448 reference SPO's 1% holding in NYX ,William Hill are now supporting the bid for NYX so could be another usd6.3 million in the pot shortly.

So Lombard Odier sold 1.6% on Tuesday - presumably to Sand Grove.

That is an interesting RNS. Cayman registered hedge fund Sandgrove look to have moved onto the radar by taking their holding from c. 4.8% to 7.13%, obviously purchased from Canaccord. Their recent activity relating to Punch Taverns and Heineken suggests they are proactive investors and therefore might be involved a bid situation.Hopefully some real news shortly.

Malaysia gambling alive and well ... Sportech roll-out at Royal Sabah Turf Club

"We will also be importing at least 60 thoroughbreds from Auckland NZ and have purchased a new starting gate with 16 barriers and organise races on new Turf Track.

Chin revealed the Club's Sportech bet hardware and software are also fully operational.

Sportech Racing Digital, a division of Sportech PLC, was selected by the Royal Sabah Turf Club to provide a new central betting system and associated technologies for its Tambalang Racecourse and off course betting centres.

Sportech will provide the Club with a new central pari-mutuel betting system and 300 WAVE teller-terminals to expand the distribution of the Turf Club's racing and betting product to off track sites.

"We are the first in the region to have the Sportech world leading hardware and software racing betting equipment which is the second after Macau jockey Club which just started using it.

"Additional new betting system is also installed which are Pick 3 and Pick 6 similar to Hong Kong Jockey Club.
