23/2/2006 23:35 | Yep , me too - out at 50.5p. Likewise fed up after all these years. It'll probably rocket tomorrow now! (edit) Actually still holding a few in my SIPP, but I tend to forget about those! | fouroaks
23/2/2006 18:52 | I'm out after a long ride. Just fed up with the company's performance. Also don't like that we closed below 50p again, when most other stocks seem to be making new highs. Back to lurking.... | wildchild
23/2/2006 11:26 | From the presentation - the buy back cannot start until after shareholders approval at the meeting in May - so its going to be June before it kicks in and then spread over 12 months. | golf4all
23/2/2006 11:23 | I wonder when spt will start their buy back program. Now would be a good time. | georgeski

23/2/2006 11:08 | He's gone on holiday for three weeks( according to him on the CTM board last evening), doubt we will see him again. | andaleg
23/2/2006 11:01 | Best part of 9 million shares traded and going down, down & down. Where's Sam and his 80p now ? | golf4all
23/2/2006 10:26 | I said that the sale of HT division was a mistake (I know about focus on Comms etc, etc, etc) but look at the figures. HT Sales increase by 9.5% and operating profit increased by 18% Spirent sales fall by 10% and operating profit falls by 50%. HT generates £25.3m and Spirent only £11.5m Looks to me that Doughty have got the best end of the deal. | golf4all
23/2/2006 10:19 | I'm no longer a holder and I have to say very unimpressed with the MD's report. Jam tommorrow a big maybe but in the short term whose going to hold these?? What's a promise worth given Spirent's track record? | wireless
23/2/2006 09:10 | Looks like the market doesnt like the news so far and there does not seem to have been any build up in the share price over the last few weeks based on expectations. The next few hours should be interesting ! | golf4all
23/2/2006 09:06 | georgeski - I think that has been known for some weeks. | andaleg
23/2/2006 08:59 | Most will waiting for the webcast. But i like this bit "and the Board intends to return up to #50 million to shareholders through an on-market share repurchase programme over the coming year." Thats got to be worth a 9-10% rise. | georgeski
23/2/2006 08:03 | Well, curiously quiet at present - I suppose there are not many of us small PIs left in SPT. | fouroaks
23/2/2006 07:52 | Yes, don't know how it's going to go! Depends whether the future is more important than the present. | fouroaks

22/2/2006 15:38 | Good luck with CTM (and SPT of course). I also have ISYS Q3 in the morning, so an early morning all round! | fouroaks
22/2/2006 15:31 | Hi FourOaks Never did have any conversations with dalesiders and have not come across him on any other threads - but then I only visit about a dozen or so, he did pop back to do the new board of course. Up early in the morning as I also have CTM to worry about. | andaleg
22/2/2006 13:46 | That's brought them out of the wood work! Thanks lib. The SPT summary predictions look look dire so, with disposals there must be room for optimism. But look at the broker recommendations! Hardly shown in the price action of late. | sirrah
22/2/2006 13:25 | libertine - thanks for that. As a matter of interest what is the source? Interesting to see that John Weston still has the 1.6m he bought at 6p - I would have thought he would have sold those when he retired! | fouroaks
