Thanks for the advice.

I have spent 40 minutes on the phone to Computershare (the registrars) who assured me that I had filled in the correct forms and despite SOM and SPSY being US companies they are in fact UK tradeable shares. I spent 2 minutes on the phone to IG and IG now say rejecting the shares was an error so I should resubmit them.

I am sure this saga isn't finished.

IR35 - I purchased through Share Centre and also T D Waterhouse (as was) without difficulty. Subsequently the latter a/c has been transferred to Jarvis Investment Management (x-o) again without question.

I have a vague recollection that there are two issues of these shares, one US in origin. It might be worth checking which type of certificate you have been issued. Perhaps W H Ireland as broker to SPSY may be able to assist. HTH.

Looking at the website ,Worsley hold 14pct of the equity hereDoes anyone know if this is their correct holding in Spectra and if not why is the website showing an incorrect shareholding?

I held these in a Barclays account and back in August last year they told me I could no longer hold them once Barclays migrated to Smart Investor. As a result I took them in certificated form as I didn't have time to sort out an online account elsewhere during the holiday period. I received my certificates in November and have tried to dematerialise them into an online account and have so far failed.
Hargeaves Lansdown said they couldn't accept them. IG index said they could so I opened an account , filled in a CREST transfer form and sent them off. IG Have returned the share certificate saying they can't dematerialise them as they aren't UK CREST settled.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and managed to resolve it.

The earning season will be knockout due to Trumps coperation tax cuts and depreciation of the dollar....all looks good to me.

I never saw them offered at 104 so your broker did wellI agree with all you write sonofa except the hot earnings season as I think v tough comps vs last year What I like re spsy right here right now is ...1/ Nabil looks forward to another strong year of earnings growth yet w h Ireland has no growth in its forecasts 2/ aeris is valued at 0p..I think there is value in aeris 3/ India must have a 20pct chance and that's 100p on share price and that's valued at 0p4/ trubrand will get a contract even if it's not in China and that's valued at 0pAnd we will have 14m Bucks of cash end year and we are paying a nice dividend What's there not to like??!!!My end year target is 200p

Had a few more today. As the old saying goes, turnover is vanity, profit is sanity. I agree with you Tilly under 10 is a laugh, especially when we already know we ahead from last year and with multiple hot pokers in the fire, plus an especially hot earnings season ahead for the states.

On Thursday, there were 100k shares online available to buy at 98.5p. The following day, I struggled to get 15k at £1. No idea why this changed.

Nothing that I can fathom. The printed trades certainly wouldn't justify any increase. I shall have to put it down to irrational exuberance.
