23/3/2018 15:59 | You picked a peakCompare the share price with 2009Raging bull market Be careful Times getting trickier now Bear mkt upon us now or soon Scary times | tilly99
23/3/2018 15:42 | Tilley. Current level of the FTSE 100 index is the same as it was in early Jan 2000, 18 years ago. Tilley, my guess is that you are too young to know what a raging bull market is. A good one was the Nikkei 225 index when it ran up to 39,000. This peak is well back before the start of ADVFN charts in '93 Tilly99 22 Mar '18 - 21:41 - 2105 of 2109 0 1 0 Disagree Freddie You wait till we go into a bear market We have been in a raging bull market since 2009 When this market falls 30 pct and rest assured we will.. All stocks will go down Do you think spectra will be 97p if Ftse is 5k and share price 1500? I don't think so!! Keep cash aside for bargains They will come as all stocks will fall | freddie ferret
23/3/2018 15:28 | I wasn't implying that Bones. Merely suggesting that the current spat between the USA and China isn't going to do our prospects much good. Spectra will have to keep a tight watch on their IP if they do deal with China. | lord gnome
23/3/2018 11:44 | Have they stolen SPSY's IP? I suspect they really want what SPSY offer and it would be wrong to assume the company is dealing with crooks. I doubt SPSY have gone in with eyes closed. | bones
23/3/2018 10:48 | I don't think that Trump's trade war with China will do our prospects there much good, especially as he is accusing the Chinese of stealing IP - which is true and in our case most relevant. | lord gnome
23/3/2018 10:09 | I added today as think recent lows will hold so that's not far away with upcoming divi Buy red | tilly99

22/3/2018 20:31 | Freddie, with the US market tanking tonight, further pain should be felt tomorrow so brace up! | bones
22/3/2018 19:35 | Serious hit now being taken here. | freddie ferret
22/3/2018 10:57 | Hi CgeI echo Horndeans sentiments I don't feel like there will be any imminent newsflow but in second half of year could be some decent trubrand stuff if all goes to plan Patience required here..don't forget we have come up from 20p to these levels and higher in a short period, investors have huge profits and will look to make their CGT allowance, so a drift lower shouldn't panick anyone ..most smallers are weak and there seems to be a constant selling of most stocks with a buyers strike | tilly99
22/3/2018 10:49 | There was some pretty bullish commentary on Trubrand in results. I think they are hoping for deals this year and bigger ramp ups in due course. There are plenty of irons in the fire. Not all will work out of course but only take a couple to make a material difference. | horndean eagle
22/3/2018 09:41 | Tilly - at the meeting did you get any sense of the timing on Truband, i.e. are they expecting some sort of decision this year and/or when the testing will be complete? | cgequityinvest
21/3/2018 14:57 | Yes didn't think about the end of year...some investors probably taking their Capital Gains for the year. | sonofbanjosinger
21/3/2018 13:44 | Thank you Tilly, appreciate your taking the time to reply Regards | blueeyes13
21/3/2018 12:19 | Hi Blue eyesThere was no presentation so it was a run through of figs and prospects(most is in the figs and stmnt)I think we are fair value in terms of our core business and think we are range bound in the short term especially as we may have decent seller overhanging Longer term we are cheap as trubrand has such huge potential..but it's potential so like aeris was, nothing is written in stone and we just have to hope for the best Sub 90p with the yield and cash balance I believe this remains a very strong buy It's end of tax year so it is a weak period for small companies in general so if we get more weakness so be it,I would say take advantage as and when/if we approach 90p | tilly99
21/3/2018 02:59 | For those that met with the co yesterday it would be very much appreciated by all others invested here I'm sure if you can provide some balanced feedback from discussions and any additional personal views you may have subsequent to the meet. Thank you | blueeyes13
20/3/2018 16:41 | The doubling of eps on only a 9% increase in revenue is very good. We also need to see revenue rise next time. I think as far as revenue is concerned the market had expected more, hence the cautious market response to the results. | freddie ferret
20/3/2018 15:57 | Most of it was in even in the Exec summary. I was surprised by the reaction from the posters who are astute investors. | glaws2
20/3/2018 15:42 | PJ1, interesting exchange but what are they on? All of the data they seek is laid out clearly in the accounts in the RNS! Do they not read beyond the executive summary?2017 PBT was $3.09m (no tax just a small credit). 2016 PBT was $1.14m (no tax)It's all there including cash flow report which shows healthy accumulations even after a dividend. | bones
20/3/2018 15:28 | For info..... Aston Girl @reb40 Mar 19 More #SPSY FY read very well, EPS +100%, EBITDA +83% (although grrrr at them for using it), net cash, dividend +20%, outlook “excellent prospects for ongoing earnings growth in 2018." I hold 2 replies 3 retweets 16 likes Imran Khan @immikhan 9h 9 hours ago More What specifically is the complaint against EBITDA and what is your preference instead? Aston Girl @reb40 9h 9 hours ago More EBITDA excludes tax, depreciation and amaortization and yet the company has to pay them so they should be included. I prefer profit pre tax, EPS & in a perfect world ROCE & ROE (but that it getting fussy for a TU I know) 2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes Aston Girl @reb40 9h 9 hours ago More EBITDA is better suited to large companies with significant assets (as they require depreciation) or those with lots of debt financing (!) & thus not smaller companies. 1 reply 0 retweets 6 likes Small Cap @martinthebrave 8h 8 hours ago More EBITDA is used by too many companies to shield poor practice - particularly using amortisation of costs to inflate profit. Depreciation can gobble up most EBITDA. I am a fan of FCF which is the true test of a quality company IMO. 2 replies 0 retweets 9 likes Reply 2 Retweet Like 9 Direct message Jonathan Curry @jpsc01 Following Following @jpsc01 More Replying to @martinthebrave @reb40 @immikhan SPSY uses not just EBITDA, but "adjusted EBITDA". So not just the misleading numbers, but the misleading, misleading numbers. LOL. Results looked good, but way behind the valuation the co already has. Also dont like co's that can't even stop at EBITDA but need to adjust. | pj 1
20/3/2018 15:21 | Like some of you including Tilly l am very over weight here although I can't think on what parameters we are fully valued. Or am l missing something? | sonofbanjosinger
20/3/2018 15:17 | Bones, possibly. I have not sold any but I have to admit it is much harder holding a fast rising multi-bagger than a slow but steady riser. | pj 1
20/3/2018 15:11 | PJ1, are these the same thinkers that would have sold Amazon at a 10th of current price on basis of their low profits? | bones
20/3/2018 15:09 | Like fozzie, I am "overweight" SPSY or I would have looked to add at 100p today.Tilly, et al, any despatches from the home front?CheersBones | bones |
