Agreed fft but what this is telling us is about is this long term growth story. Getting your foot in the door with another new technolgy.

Not sure how much it will contribute to the bottom line until the 4 phases are complete. Can imagine the central bank, as first adopter, has got a good price for the 4 phases and indeed the contract after that. What it should do, unless something goes wrong, is lock in a 10 year revenue stream from 2022, and also prove the technology/methodology to other central banks where the margins should be higher. I was surprised that nabil sold off the revenue stream in Jan this year (5 year license then perpetuity) for a short term (in spsy terms) but this should more than replace it. The sums from that agreement led to a profit increase warning for 2018 in the rns. Indeed, with such a low head count, maybe resources are/have been switched already.

Just lucky Nico ....somebody seems to be using the news to unload a few. No worries l will still be buying when funds allow. It has a boring share dividend added that at anytime, transformational news could hit.

When we met Nabil he was keen to point out that forecasts included just revenues already contracted. Upside was going to come from anything else he was due to announce. This is an important bit of news as it negates the drop off from the other contract and so keeps forecasts on an even keel. Surprised shares had been so weak given market bounce and dollar strength. Another bit of good news and hopefully we break out to new highs. Chinese tobacco would be nice.

G20, not G7, so I think you can remove 7 banks from the list. This was No 3 on the list of 5 prospects to look forward too that were mentioned in the results. Nabil really does what he says on the tin !

So now we know the real reason for the price shift at the end of last week! Good news for the long term, even if we do have to wait until 2022 for first revenues. I wonder who the bank might be. UK and Australia in the frame obviously, but who else currently uses polymer bank notes?

G20 Central Bank begins Funding Sensor Development

Spectra Systems Corporation, a leader in machine-readable high speed banknote authentication and brand protection technologies, announces that it was engaged on Friday to commence Phase I of a four-phase funded sensor development with a G20 central bank for use with polymer banknotes. The successful completion of all phases is expected to result in a long-term Sensor and Materials Supply Agreement commencing around 2022.

Dr. Nabil Lawandy, Chief Executive Officer, stated: "We are excited that one of our polymer security features is on track for adoption by a G20 central bank. Once completed, this will be a decade or longer direct sale rather than a license and supply arrangement through a partner. We expect that this will firmly establish our capabilities and products for use in the growing polymer banknote segment of the market".
