News-driven shares are all the same in my limited experience. You can spend a heck of a lot of time waiting for the news that you know is coming, only to watch the share price drifting away as bored holders close their positions with no news to attract new buyers. Let's just hope that the news is more good news when it comes.

Wondering what price it would be if traded in the USA is truly the sign of a man with too much time on his hands.

I'm not bearish on spsyI haven't been bearish on US for a few months Just think a strong dollar will hit company earnings and US is entering quad 4 ..beware Spsy went Xd and never fell 5p so it's a delayed fall

Nico you said the same last year with markets ..my take is that the Uk market is not expensive, we have barely broken the 1999 highs and billions of extra money from pension enrollment has to find a home and as you said Spectra is only a few pence over its IPO.....l wonder what price it would be if traded in the USA, when you look at similar companies like DMRC.

Fozzie US is one of the only places currently not slowing in terms of growth However that all changes in the second half of this year which doesn't bode well for equity markets The dollar strength and recent contract wins should mean we are insulated to a certain extent from this but best to have some cash ready for the upcoming bargains Spsy are Xd so this fall was overdue

I think its probably a few nerves re US and trade wars. Not that it impacts us much for the moment. A few large Chinese tobacco trials going into production might change that but it will be a welcome problem to be dealing with. Dollar strength not doing us any harm in the meantime.

I am finding that my psyche is affected by moves in the SPSY share price. I try not to look too often 🙈 It's just a waiting game. A few respected Twitter posters have gone 50 and 85% cash over the last week. Is the market really wobbling or are we irrationally expecting a downturn just because we haven't had one for a while. I have sold a few small and losing positions and have added here as and when.

Well remembered, someuwin. They also said this about performance of the Secure Transactions Group...

"The Secure Transactions Group performed in line with management expectations, generating adjusted EBITDA of US$555k (2016: US$505k) on revenue of US$1,347k (2016: US$1,274k).

This segment of the business is producing solid revenue growth as well as increased earnings. With the introduction of the 64-bit product along with our position as the only supplier with a virtual machine capability, we are confident we will continue to attract more customers from our competitors.

The Secure Transactions Group has won a new contract with the Maryland Lottery, 3 new licences and has continued to roll out 64-bit Premier Integrity. The Secure Transaction Group will complete their ISO-27001 Certification in 2018 and continue working with organizations such as the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL). We are confident that we will see continued growth of the business in 2018."

They also said:

"The Secure Transactions Group continues to innovate within the lottery ICS industry, reducing cost and increasing efficiency with the introduction of Virtualized Machines. The use of VM, we expect will allow us to win contracts from our competitors by offering more value to the customer and has become an integral part of the strategy of the group."

This company has so many opportunities to exploit with their many patented technologies that it is easy to overlook some.

In all the excitement of last month's US Supreme Court ruling that will lead to the legalisation of Sports Betting in the US, many stocks have soared. But few have realised that SPSY will be a direct beneficiary of this change in legislation.

In their last results announcement (March 2018) they had this down as number 5 opportunity...

"5) The adoption of our Secure Transactions Group products for sports gambling which is on the verge of being legalized in several states. From New York to California, lawmakers in at least 20 states are wagering that sports gambling could become legal in 2018 and are crafting legislation to make that happen within their borders."

As sports gambling has now become legal, expect to hear more on this from SPSY - hopefully soon.
