08/1/2014 13:46 | Delayed 100k buy from earlier as well by the looks of things. | protean
08/1/2014 12:22 | Just had to pay 2p for 50,000 ..kicking myself for not getting the 2p yesterday but maybe some action coming up?? | harrogate
08/1/2014 12:08 | Some upward movement again....finally. Presumably buying on the back of the large institutional trades. | protean
10/12/2013 19:41 | Ok thanks! Yes I looked at the photos ..a pretty motley lot all told. | harrogate
10/12/2013 19:19 | harrogate: A jobber I used to speak to many years ago used to refer to trades as prints. It just kinda stuck. Have edited my post for clarity. | hezza123
10/12/2013 16:52 | Ive had a few nibbles over the last month and the nibble at .29 this afternoon was me again. Onwards and upwards now please! | fozzie
10/12/2013 16:47 | What are "prints"? Thanks | harrogate
10/12/2013 16:32 | Someone having a nibble at 29p, following those chunky trades at 28p. Nice. Incidentally, talking of mad scientists, and probably irrelevant, but has anybody had a look at the board of directors on their website? The photograph of Roland Puton is rather disturbing. Couldn't they have chosen ANY other picture of him? Looks like a police mug shot! IMO/DYOR of course... | hezza123
08/12/2013 19:00 | Thank you all for your responses, and to Harrogate for being being very helpful. GHF - will contact you soon, thanks for the invitation. Simon, after reading Free Capital I am a complete ADVFN fan, I hadn't used bulletin boards before reading that book, but now it is an essential part of the stock-selecting process for me. As soon as I have abit more time I hope to post some more analysis to share with you all. Yes the valuation is intriging, forecasts look reasonable. Some of the doubts I have and am perhaps not the only one is how good are the management team. I am not particularly impressed with their investor communications, as well as with their Ceo profiling. The only information I have found out on him is very dated and says very little about his abilities at self-promotion. He is a either mad scientist type with lots of talent, and less business acumen and bad pr skills - fine with us as we can buy in at a good price- or a little incompetent and the share price reflects that. | checkers2
07/12/2013 12:55 | I've seen the 2012 WH Ireland note, but not the recent one. Must admit, I bought solely based on the balance sheet and the contract wins, deducing that the share price undervalued the business. Holding patiently. :-) | hezza123
06/12/2013 21:21 | Checkers, Thomson One Analytics is the website that aggregates many broker notes, last time I looked it was 10K per anum, plus you had to have approved credentials, can't remember what they were. Praise be to ADVFN :-) | simon gordon
06/12/2013 20:46 | Checkers - I see harrogate has left you an email address & I'm sure he can assist. FWIW, I posted forecasts a few months back & questioned some other posters figures...but it failed to generate any response or debate. You may wish to drop me a line as I note our mutual interest in a few stocks. Regards, GHF Twitter @glasshalfull1 EDIT - email address removed | glasshalfull
06/12/2013 12:44 | No promises, will try | pj 1
06/12/2013 12:40 | I have been trying to do some digging on this company - yesterday I spoke to Fielding from WH Ireland to see whether he could give me the lastest research note from November. For us PI investors there is no access to this research under FSA rules apparnently.... Just wondering if one of the readers of this thread as access to instituinal research and would be kind of enough to share this with others? I remember in my investment banking days that there was an online resource where research was published, anyone got access? As an extra incentive, I can send through a Christmas hamper from my organic farm for anyone kind enough also to share this info privately with me, if FSA rules forbid the publication of it on this board..... | checkers2
25/11/2013 22:27 | Very good. | stockologist
25/11/2013 22:15 | Hope they're not prosecuted for money laundering. | jjoshaw
19/11/2013 07:18 | Summary Judgment Reducing Potential Lawsuit Exposure The Board received notice from its attorneys at K&L Gates that the Berkshire County Superior Court has enforced the statute of limitations regarding the lawsuit filed by a shareholder with whom Spectra has had a contract for over a decade. The lawsuit, which was filed on 13 February 2013 for damages totaling $2,136,091, has been reduced to $1,272,397 due to enforcement of the statute of limitations, which bars claims that accrued more than six years prior to the filing of the lawsuit. Nabil Lawandy, Spectra System's CEO, stated: "We are pleased with the Court's decision recognizing that three of the years claimed in the lawsuit are without basis. We, together with our attorneys, continue to believe that there is no basis for the balance of the claim and we are fully prepared to further aggressively defend our position in the courts if a resolution cannot be reached" | battlebus2
16/11/2013 22:02 | Yes further to Stewy, would be great if someone has some forecasts pencilled in for the next few years. Has anyone done any analysis here or have access to broker report? I am a buyer at these levels, however abit pushed for time to do in depth analysis on this one.... | checkers2
14/11/2013 16:14 | Stuart, I doubt it's a contract win. Saying "approval to deliver" implies that it's a development on an existing contract (although I agree that it's difficult to match it up). | somerset lad
14/11/2013 12:21 | If anyone has a brokers note update that would be much appreciated. The interesting part of the RNS:- "We are proud of this accomplishment with one of the most technologically sophisticated central banks in the world. Meeting this G8 customer's demanding performance and maintenance requirements for a second time and installing the sensors which are expected to support our consumables for the next decade is proof of Spectra's reputation and potential for delivering next generation technology to this and other customers in the coming years" So this is accompanied by additional phosphor sales? If so, how much reoccuring revenue does this bring in? We will have to wait and see but this seems to be quite exciting contract win, not for the sensor sales but the additional reoccuring revenue it will bring in. Looking at the initial broker note, there doesn't seem to be any mention of this as a potential contract so it must be a new one. Any other views? Results will now be interesting. Comment welcome Stuart | stewy_18
14/11/2013 09:55 | Some decent buying on the news. | protean |
