SP reaction to date seems very modest

WH Ireland comment "Today’s deal powers polymer banknotes and provides a big earnings lift"

Broker upgrades FY 24 by 19% so immediately earnings enhancing. Spsy is a different beast now though

Very interesting. I like the fact that they've spent the last 2 years working closely with the company they're acquiring. It should be a relatively seamless acquisition. It feels like Polymer substrate is the game changer for Spectra so if this brings it a step closer, it's good news.

Many years ago there used to be a ''noise free'' chart, which for SPSY reflects a one and two year uptrend.

It is difficult to see that not continuing

I am sure that Herald shares have been picked up by our mysterious new investor, along with plenty of others. That has helped the share price hold up very well this year. The announcement about the large order for the large CB must mean we have a beat to come and with the reader deliveries finally kicking in at the end of 2024 I think we are in a great place for a run higher as long as the small cap market in general allows it

It is odd as per the spectra website at Dec 22 Herald had over 6%. I wonder if in fact they have been a seller and the TR-1 is incorrect?

Looks like it was Herald. Much delayed RNS shows a move from under 3% to over 4.27%.
