25October1969 I appreciate your interpretation of the TU. The numbers in today's TU brought up my first red light about growth here (anyone can buy it). The director selling the second so I've sold for now.

Best I could get was 131 could not sell online with Selftrade out with a small profit. Trade not show

I have seen NED trades very shortly before results in the past, and upon contacting the company they verified that the practice was permitted as long as they followed stringent rules.

Might be worth contacting SAL to query it?

Disagree El1te - I am a non executive director, standard policy that all trades by all directors have to be approved by the Board in advance and approval would not be given to make a trade the day before price sensitive information is released to the market.

I agree no harm done in this instance, but that is not the point.

To be fair it's a Non-Executive Director, and they really don't have a huge amount to do on an everyday basis.

No doubt the trade would have been checked through by the company, ensuring it was allowed, before completing. If it was an executive director, it would be another story

WTF....how can a director sell the day before a trading statement?????????? He must have known the content, as it should be approved by the Board before release??????

Somebody needs their balls squeezed!

painter - you point is valid...to a certain extent. Gross revenues are, in simple terms, the total revenues collected from advertisers, the bulk of which is passed to the shopping mall owners, Sal are the middlemen. The net revenues are the "commission" retained by Sal from the revenues collected. They are not a trader so cost of goods sold not really an appropriate description to use

A number of new deals during the year, possibly on not so generous terms as in the past, but need to see final accounts for analysis.

I agree that generating an extra 6.7m of revenues for mall owners to make 0.7m may not be the best deal when last year net revenues as % of gross revenues was 43.5% but as I say, need to see Accounts

Also there is a promotion business and a retail business and I do not recall if split of net revenues compared with gross revenues is shown in Accounts so the mix may have changed as might the UK/ German split of gross

MG1982.

It would be clear if they had quoted net income (net income = net revenue - expenses). Net revenue is simply gross revenue - cost of goods sold. Wish there was a set standard for Trade Updates.

I to like the story here too and will continue to hold.

Painter - they answer your question clearly - the reason being "as the Company continued to expand its client base whilst delivering increased sales to its existing clients both in the UK and Germany."

Paul has written a positive piece on his blog. This is a long term hold for me to tuck away.

Not a fan of companies reporting 'net revenue' isn't normally very useful, but in this case it shows that cost of goods / services sold has increased dramatically! I wonder why?

Yes, agreed. It's not really on people's radar as yet. Always seems too tightly held. This will change at some point and that will lead to a re-rating. Gresham House holding needs a resolution as well.

Hi,

Good announcement. Confirms what we already know - a very good niche company, excellent management & staff, just getting on with the job of developing the business.

We should continue to see steady share price appreciation, and decent divis. A very good very long term hold in my opinion!

Regards, Paul.
